Assignment1:

1. What is AutoCAD 3D?

3D CAD, or three-dimensional computer-aided design, is technology for design and
technical documentation, which replaces manual drafting with an automated process. Used
by architects, engineers, and other professionals, 3D CAD software precisely represents and
visualizes objects using a collection of points in three dimensions on the computer.
2. What is 2D and 3D?
2D (two-dimensional) shapes are flat, while 3D (three-dimensional) shapes are solid objects
with length, breadth, and depth
3. Why it is important to are works?

4. What is the difference between 3D basics and 3D Modeling?

In 3D basic we can create a 3d model. This workspace has basic commands for creating a 3D
model. By using these commands, we can create basic 3d models like pipes, shaft,
containers, etc. Commands like extrude, loft, revolve, sweep etc. basic commands are
present in 3d basics.

For assembly models, piping layouts, plant design, equipment design 3D modeling
workspace is used. It consists of two modeling options solid and surface. Commands like 3D
mirror, 3D fillet and chamfer, shell, extract edges, solid, union etc., advance surfacing
commands. We can see sections of 3d models using section plane command in the 3d
modeling.
5. Give at least two examples about 3D CAD?
