Government introduced the said contract to increase the domestic production of Oil and Gas in the
country. It could be done by introducing those terms which attract the foreign and domestic players in
the sector. Therefore, we may presumably conclude that terms of MODEL PRODUCTION SHARING
CONTRACT are favourable to the contractor.

2. It needs to be noted that the terms of MPSC are not final. It is negotiable. But govt would not like to
disrupt the whole structure of the contract. So, there is chance of alteration in MPSC. Clause may be
