Presidential Speech 2008
Good afternoon, ladies and gentlemen, my name is Elisa Noemi Duran, and I am running
for President of the United States. You might wonder why should I vote for her? Well, I will
assure to solve economic, foreign and domestic problems. Not only that, but will protect you all
as citizen of this country. I am part of the Republican Party, and we will assure lower taxes and
I am pretty sure that all of you have heard or maybe went through the trouble of losing
your job. Well let me tell you something, today that ends. In my presidency, I will make sure to
raise the number of jobs by spending money on public works, such as roads, bridges, buildings
and more. That will not only create jobs for those building these things, but also for those who
will get to work in the buildings created. I will make sure that education is an easy thing for
families to pay for. With that in mind, I will create scholarships, provide grants and loans in
order for students to specialize in an area, to then serve their country. In the future, these kids
will own businesses, which will create jobs for thousands of people. You don't need to have a
degree in order to have a job, because many other options will be created for this group of
people.
Another big issue is the gas prices, the current price is $3.47. It might seem like a little,
but the second you calculate things out, it seems a lot for a week or a month. From now on, gas
will not be more expensive than $2.15. For that to happen, I will reduce the amount of oil
brought from overseas, that way gas will not have the necessity of being so expensive. You
might ask yourself why not just produce 100% our own gas? Well, we don't want to waste all of
it, we want to make sure to have some leftover gas in case global economy falls.
Last but not least, I will abolish abortion in our country. Many of you may not be in favor
of that for multiple reasons, but I promise that all of those reasons will have a solution. For
example, kids who came from rape do not have to be aborted; the mom can give the kid in
adoption if that is what she wishes, but abortion will never be an option. We do not begin our
lives when we come out of the womb, but when we are conceived. I will make sure this doesn't
happen by having hospitals send in monthly reports of whatever happens in there. Also, have
assigned/undercover people in hospitals, and they will make sure this law is being respected and
obeyed. As mentioned before, I will make sure that things related to abortion are taught in
school, with the purpose of teaching girls the risks of sex at a young age, also, that if a baby is
not wanted any time soon to use protection and many more things. I want to quote John D.
Rockefeller on this: “Next to doing the right thing, the most important thing is to let people know
I, Noemi Duran, along with all of you citizens, will assure the future of the United States.
The increase of jobs, the regulation of gas prices and the abolition of abortion are just a small
portion of all the changes I plan to implement. Isaiah 1:17 says, “Learn to do good; seek justice,
correct oppression; bring justice to the fatherless, plead the widow's cause.” As people who want
to see our country move forward, we have got to consider doing what's right, and that means
bringing justice, helping others and treating them the right way. Let us all be one; let us all be
united; let us all come together to impact other nations, countries and future generations. Let us
leave a footprint behind for the future to follow; let us create a legacy of change, unity and
respect. Vote for me; join me on this path, and let's mark our country with goodness.
