NARRATIVE REPORT ON THE EXPANDED FACE TO FACE CLASSES

Grade 9- Faith ( FILIPINO 9)

The imagery of education in the new normal inside the classroom, plastic barriers
separate the learners and the teachers-one meter apart. It’s a preview of what’s to come for
thousands of other Filipino students in the country who have yet to physically go back to school.
After missing out on face-to-face classes and meeting new friends for more than a year
due to the pandemic, learners once again get to cherish the joys of going to school. It was started
last March 22-25, 2022 when Libertad National High school finally opened its gate for Grade 9-
students who participated the face-to-face classes. Students participating in the face-to face
classes must have the written consent of their parents. Schools are given flexibility in contact
time for teaching and learning, provided that meals are not taken in school except during
managed recess.
The participating schools were allowed after meeting the qualifications set by concerned
government agencies-correspondence from their local governments, low-risk classification for
Covid 19, and passing school safety assessment tool.
The opening of limited in-person classes this month gives hope that a return to some
degree of normalcy is forthcoming. We can attribute this development to the increase in the
number of Filipinos getting vaccinated daily and their adherence to the health protocols imposed
by our authorities.
Consequently, the schools have been able to operate safely, strictly observing health
protocols. There were no reports of Covid-19 cases and serious incidents involving learners.
