Problem Statement Circuit Building:

Task 1:

A guy has a 10V DC motor. He is very interested to see it rotating. So he realized that he needs
a 10V DC power supply. But unfortunately, he only has one 5V D-size battery at his place. Being
a determined guy, he needs to see the motor rotating, no matter what. So, he seeks your help in
designing a circuit to generate 10V DC voltage from a 5V DC battery.

Task: Design a circuit which can convert the given 5V DC voltage to a 10V DC voltage

Try to use as less external components as possible. External components can

include voltage/current sources(except the 1 provided 5V DC source), or any kind of
signal generators.

Task 2:

Now that you have helped the guy in seeing the motor rotate, his interest in motors has
increased a lot. So, he searched a lot and finally found a 10V AC motor at his place. He is
interested in seeing it rotate, but needs a 10V AC supply to power it. But, he unfortunately
doesn’t have any AC sources.

Since, you have successfully helped the guy in producing 10V DC voltage, he urges you
to use that 10V DC voltage to generate a 10V AC voltage to power the AC motor.

Task: Design a circuit which can produce a 10V AC voltage signal. Use the 10V DC
voltage signal generated previously.

Merits on which your task will be judged:

1. Number of external components used in the circuits

2. Time taken to reach the steady state or desired output.
