Part 1.

The Barangay History should provide for the history of the creation of the barangay, its former name,
the reason for its creation, the early inhabitants and should also include the laws, ordinances, or any
legal process by which the barangay is created. It should also include the etymology of the name of the
barangay. It should explain how the name came into being.

The geography of the barangay, the population, demographics, and other data pertaining to it may also
be included.

It should likewise provide for the historical events which took place in the said barangay and the specific
places within which the said historical events occurred, if any. Apart from that, the prominent persons
belonging to such barangay should also be stated as well as their achievements which have significance
to the barangay, city or to the country.

Part 2.

The achievements of the barangay must be included. The following achievements which may be
included are as follows: a) awards and recognitions given by the national government; b) those which
are given and awarded by the local government unit; c) those which are given and awarded by the non-
government organizations; d) those which are awarded by international organizations; e) awards which
are similar to the foregoing.

Aside from the enumerated achievements, it should also include those awards and recognitions which
are given to any of its residents by the aforementioned presenter. The said award given to any of its
residents must be of exemplary nature.

Part 3.

The writeup should also include the products of the barangay, whether agricultural, industrial, or other
revenue-oriented activities such as tourist destinations, festivals, and other similar events. Products
which are featured in television programs, radio programs or social media platforms should also be
included.
