PASAR CHATUCHAK

Who doesn't want to travel to Thailand? In addition to the cultural charm of the country,
lower living costs in Thailand make tourists rush to various shopping places there. Starting
from traditional markets that sell a lot of silk fabrics to department stores and malls that offer
cheap goods to attract more buyers.
But between these places, traditional markets in Bangkok still occupy top positions for cheap
and exciting shopping. One of the prima donna markets for tourists is Chatuchak Market. It's
not "legitimate" if you come to Bangkok without shopping in this market.
Chatuchak is said to be 'Jatujak', is one of the biggest markets in the world. This market is
estimated to be visited by around 400 thousand people each weekend (2 days). Chatuchak
Market is only open on Saturdays and Sundays starting around 08:00 until around 06:00 in
the afternoon.
Sellers in the Chatuchak market offer a variety of goods at low prices ranging from clothing,
animals, books, plants, artifacts, even there are also available such as ceramics, unique
baskets, antiques, various home decorations, shoes, handicrafts, silver jewelry to home
appliances stairs. Everything is complete! But cleanliness is still maintained in the Chatuchak
market so shopping is even more comfortable.
The location of Chatuchak Market is located on the north side of the bus terminal along
Phahonyothin. To get there you can use MRT, Skytrain, bus, Taxi (although not
recommended), or Tuk-Tuk.
There are some tips for those of you who want to shop at Chatuchak.
• The official opening hours are around 10 am, so you should come from the morning so that
there is too crowded at the same time trying breakfast at the food stand that is already open
there.
• Shopping here you have to be good at bargaining. If the seller does not want to lower the
price of the merchandise, you should just try going to another seller because the kind of item
you want is still sold at other stands.
• Usually before closing hours, some of the traders will move locations to be nicknamed
around the main road, and will discount their goods!
• Don't go shopping when it's raining and don't wear your favorite shoes. Wear shoes that are
comfortable to wear for long trips because this market takes a long time, you know!
• Look for officers who distribute free maps to make it easier to shop there because the
market is divided into several areas based on the type of goods sold. Or you can make
preparations first by printing your own Chatuchak market map.
• Be aware of your luggage, especially wallets and electronic devices because pickpockets are
everywhere.
• Make sure you have prepared bath money first.
• Prepare a calculator to facilitate transactions and the bargaining process. Basically, the
goods there tend to be cheap. But there is no harm in trying to reduce the price of up to 20-40
baths.
• For those of you who are Muslim, don't worry, because in the Chatuchak market there are
many who sell halal food.
• Bring a large bag to put your groceries especially for those of you who intend to shop crazy
GRAND PALACE

There is no mandatory word to visit one place in my traveling dictionary. Even though the
tourism object in question is included in the category of must visit. But sometimes I deny the
word mandatory if it fits the time and budget. Now talk about the need to visit, if you go to
Bangkok, Thailand, you must visit the Grand Palace. Thailand's King's palace complex in the
heart of Bangkok.
I visited him when I first traveled to Bangkok. With a friend from Italy, I headed to Phra
Nakhon District by bus ... On the bus, we were only foreigners and the rest were locals. More
dozens you know! The bus stops not far from the location of the Grand Palace which is on the
banks of the Chao Phraya river. We stepped towards the Grand Palace's main gate on Na Phra
Lan Road. When it arrived, the sun had slipped west. But tourists who are waiting in front of
the gate and door of the Grand Palace do not play the crowd.
Entering the Grand Palace must wear closed clothes. Not only women, men also have to close
their bodies. So I who came wearing singlets and shorts were forced to rent long cloth pants
and sleeveless shirts. If a woman can cover it with a long cloth. At the entrance of the Grand
Palace many rent. Even they are aggressively offering rental clothes. 200 bath rent.
After covering the legs to the ankles and underarms, we go to the entrance. Near this entrance
is the Grand Palace ticket sales counter. Queues who buy tickets. Ticket prices are 500 baht,
including ticket passes to Vimanmek Palace in the Dusit area. I did not join the queue
because an Italian friend entered the queue. After getting the ticket he returned to see me and
he handed the Grand Palace entrance ticket including the entrance ticket to Wat Pho.
While at the mouth of the entrance there were hundreds of tourists huddled waiting for the
scheduled visit. The Grand Palace is open from 8.30-15.30 every day. Visits are divided into
persuasions. That afternoon, the visit opened at 2:00 p.m. Thai time. Once the entrance is
opened, all visitors move slowly in one direction. After passing through the entrance, then the
visitors scattered to visit the buildings within the palace.
This Grand Palace is very wide. Area of 500 x 300 meters. There are 35 buildings in it. This
palace began to be built in 1782, during the reign of King Rama I. This palace served as the
official residence of Thai Kings from the 18th century until 1945. After that, it was used more
as a place to hold royal ceremonies and rituals. The Thai king lived in Chitralada Palace.
SUNGAI CHAO PHRAYA

Besides beaches and mountains, rivers are one of the attractions of a tourist destination.
Similar to beaches and mountains, the view from above a river is sometimes equally
fascinating.
In Thailand, there is a giant river dividing the city which presents an interesting view of the
city landscape of Bangkok from all sides, from morning to evening incarnate. The Chao
Phraya River, as locals call the most famous river in Thailand.
From the top of this river, the charm of the blend of Bangkok and the metropolis while
maintaining the architectural buildings of the past can be watched carefully.
"Soon, this ship will depart soon, waiting for passengers to be full," explained Oom Pacha to
me and the younger brother who was busy aiming for the camera, trying to catch the hustle
and bustle over the Chao Phraya River.
That morning, as we received it, we would go to Wat Arun, right across there. The looming
peak managed to tempt us to immediately touch one of the most popular tourist sites in
Thailand.
To be able to set foot in the tourist complex which we later discovered was being renovated,
we had to cross the Chao Prhaya River which divides Bangkok into two. This ship is the
means of transportation that is usually used, Oom Pacha said. While waiting for the
passengers to be full, my sister and I took advantage of seconds by time holding up the
camera on each side.
Riverbank settlement dominated by wooden houses, towering buildings, pagodas that are
always present in every corner of the city, ships moving back and forth carrying passengers
and goods, as well as the peak of Wat Arun which seems to be waving is an interesting sight
that made us amazed. I also remembered Palembang, the city with the river I first visited in
Indonesia.
How long, the ship moved away from the lip of the wooden dock. We did not realize that the
passengers were already crowded and crowded every corner of the ship that did bring tourists
who wanted to travel to Wat Arun every day.
In the hubbub, my sister and I continued to hunt for beautiful scenery over the Chao Phraya
River, while holding on to the edge when afraid that the ship would sway instantly due to
being hit by a rippling river that resembled a wave.
In the middle of the river, we find a unique view of Bangkok, a blend of rivers with all the
activities on it, houses, and buildings that clash high with the top of the pagoda.
"Please come down, we have arrived at Wat Arun," Oom Pacha's voice made us aware of the
beauty of Bangkok from the Chao Phraya River.
Yes, besides the beach and mountains, the river is equally fascinating. The Chao Phraya
River in Thailand is one of the proofs. The river that runs from the tip of Thailand to the other
end seems to present a spectacular view, plus the beauty of Bangkok with its gallant buildings
and galleries.
Sunset on this river is also an attraction, the proof is in Asiatique which is the most popular
sunset monitoring point there. For this interesting scene, the tips are simple, prepare the
camera. Bright weather is also one of the considerations for enjoying Thailand from the Chao
Phraya River. Greetings go on!

WAT ARUN

Going on vacation is cool. Moreover, when vacationing abroad with friends, and loved ones.
It must be nice isn't it? Imagine if you had the opportunity to witness the beauty of Wat Arun
in Thailand, while absorbing all the uniqueness found in the local wisdom of Thai culture.
You can eliminate all fatigue.
Speaking of traveling, Thailand is indeed the surge of travelers. Although the country is not
as wide as Indonesia that we love, in fact every corner of the country has its own charm in the
eyes of domestic tourists, even foreign tourists. And, of the many tourist attractions that exist,
you must know about Wat Arun, the dazzling temple of dawn.
Maybe some of you have visited this place a while ago. However, if you still have not had
time and are still curious about this historical temple, it's good if you listen to our following
article. Listen carefully.
As we know, Wat Arun temple has another name for the Temple of Dawn, or the Temple of
Dawn. This temple is very beautiful, especially because of its strategic location. How not?
The location is just on the banks of the Chao Praya River. You who have traveled to Thailand
may be familiar with the condition of this one river.
Even though on the riverbank, Thailand turned out to have sufficient water transportation.
Moreover, the existing boats are deliberately used to transport tourists. The difference with
most rivers in Indonesia, the Chao Phraya River looks very well maintained, there is no
garbage piled on the riverbanks, and the water looks pretty good.
Almost every day the boat that transports tourists passing by on this river. In fact, tourist boat
traffic is increasingly compacted when the holiday season is in progress. Because of the busy
schedule of crossings, this river seemed to transform as a wheel of tourism in this White
Elephant country.
Because of its strategic location, it is not surprising that this one tourist attraction is always
crowded. The Buddhist temple which has the original name Wat Arunratchawararam
Ratchaworamavihara was built in the Ayutthaya kingdom era, better known as Wat Makok.
Over time, Raja Rama II & Raja Rama IV came to power. With the change of the throne, the
name given by the previous ruler was changed with the name attached to him now.
Wat Arun does look beautiful. When dusk arrives, its beauty continues to grow, as does the
new sun woke up from the eastern horizon. It's so beautiful, observing a 70-meter-high
building from a place that is a bit far away still feels good. And of course, this temple is
perfect if you make a photographic object that will complete the photo collection you have.
This temple has many beautiful ornaments, and has high artistic value. Where, the ornament
details remind visitors with a porcelain jar combined with antic ceramics from China. Making
the steps is quite unique. With a narrow and swooping size, it seems to force everyone to be
careful in climbing, or down every staircase.
If you are challenged to climb the stairs just to reach the top, you will find an amazing treat.
Imagine, from the top of the temple building, you can enjoy the treats of nature typical of the
Chao Phraya river, which is decorated with boats that occasionally cross, even some of the
city of Bangkok.
Glancing around Wat Arun, you can find a place to rent traditional Thai clothes, which you
can use as a sweetener for holiday documentation. You seem to have to prepare a spare
battery, because around Wat Arun itself, there are many temples that are quite exotic for you
to capture with your favorite camera.
When dusk arrives, you can take pictures of the place of worship of Buddhas as much as you
like, until the time before closing. Still not satisfied? Relax, you can buy a variety of typical
Thai souvenir products, which are offered by traders around the Pier area.
A good place, not only has a high admission price. The proof, for a tourist attraction like Wat
Arun, you only need about 50 Baths. Want to get a cheaper price? Just drop in to the H.I.S
Travel website that always standby at your service. If you are lucky, you have the opportunity
to get a holiday package promo to Thailand, including Wat Arun tours.
If you want to visit this enchanting temple, you can visit it from 8 am, to 17.30 (or just after
sunset). For transportation matters, you have to take a BTS (Sky Train) to Saphan Taksin
Station, with a previous transit at Siam Station. From Saphan Taksin Station, you can walk 5
minutes to Than Thien pier, then continue by boat to the N8 Wat Arun pier .
Before moving from

WAT PHRA KAEW

On the sixth day of my 2011 Cambodia and Thailand Trip, we toured Bangkok. After going
from Chatuchak Market we took a walk to the Grand Palace complex and its surroundings.
The purpose of our visit was the Grand Palace and Wat Phra Kaew, both of which were in
one complex, then to Wat Pho which was behind the Grand Palace complex.

First, we went to the Grand Palace Complex which included Wat Phra Kaew, from
Chatuchak we took a taxi and went straight down in front of the entrance to the Grand Palace
complex. We went straight into the complex to avoid scaming that often occurs around the
Grand Palace complex. In 2009, then my friends were hit by the problem. It's just scaming,
can be read here.
Previously I was browsing on the internet about the price of admission to the Grand Palace
complex. From the results of browsing the latest prices I got 200 Baht. That was the last info
in 2011, but the month forgot. Then, for those who arrived, only use shorts, there are also
rented clothes such as sarongs to cover the lower legs for a certain price. But the reality we
experienced was different. The entrance ticket price is now 400 Baht and the sarong is no
longer rented but free is loaned by depositing 100 Baht as collateral. The 100 Baht money
will be returned again when we turn the cover. It looks like the price of the entrance ticket
has only just risen after the flood disaster in Bangkok, and we were there in December 2011,
a month after the flood subsided. If my estimation is, the price will be raised because all for
the donation of flood victims.

As soon as we entered the gate of the complex, Rifki and Tomi, who only used shorts, went
straight to a building to the right of the borrowing place. After that we continued until we
found a ticket sales counter. The 400 Baht ticket price includes Wat Phra Kaew and Grand
Palace tickets. The roadway has been made in such a way that it only becomes unidirectional.
The first one to pass is Wat Phra Kaew. There are various buildings here that I don't
understand by name. What caught my attention the most was wall painting in one of the
buildings at Wat Phra Kaew. The painting uses gold ink with colorful filling that looks
natural. Exit from our Wat Phra Kaew area in front of the Grand Palace building. After the
photos in front of the Grand Palace we came out. Rifki and Tomi turned the loan cover back
to where they had borrowed and we went out and the road circled the outside of the wall of
the Grand Palace complex to the back of the complex where Wat Pho was located. At Wat
Pho, there is the biggest reclining Buddha, the largest sleeping Buddha in Thailand. The
entrance ticket price is 50 Baht. It's a bit difficult if you want to photograph the background
of this Buddha statue because of its large size and in the building that the space is not too
wide. On the inside wall is also full of gold-inked paintings like those in Wat Phra Kaew.
Here we also write on the prospective tiles that will be installed on the roof of the roof. Most
people write prayers like that, but because I don't want to do things that lead to shirk (which
is strictly forbidden by my religion) so just write if I have been to Wat Pho and greetings for
families from Bangkok. It's not really true, but what's important is to exist. Hehehe. For
writing, we just put the money into a place of money. At that time I just put in a sheet of 20
Baht.

TAMAN LUMPINI

as a person who likes morning sports, then I look for a park that is usually used by people of
Bangkok to exercise, after searching for information there, finally I get information there is a
park called Lumphini park (maybe if indonesian is a lumbini park, name what is used is the
name of the park where Sidharta Gautama was born in Nepal, the border of India).
I went to Lumphini Park to take the MRT from Sukhumvit Station (the train station near my
inn), I arrived at Lumphini Station, I got a wrong way, went into the office, heheheheh, but
finally told the location
The city park location is very strategic, and in my opinion the park is very wide, it is said the
story, this park is the widest and oldest in the city of Bangkok with an area of approximately
57 hectares, the atmosphere of a city park full of natural nuances in Bangkok in the 1920s,
Raja Rama VI gave this park a gift for the people of Bangkok. The aim is to preserve Thai
flowers and Thai crafts. However, it turned out that the function of this park was turned into
an outdoor activity center.
all the activities you can find here, such as people walking early in the morning, jogging,
dancing, singing, relaxing, reading books and so on, the garden is cool enough with fresh air
in the morning, both old, young and children can be found here.
besides that there is one gym location, lots of fitness here with tools that are old and
makeshift
this place also has a fairly large food court, unfortunately, after I will eat there at 10:00 a.m.,
this foodcourt is closed, even though when I arrived I still saw this foodcourt crowded
people, maybe because it was late
because of a hungry stomach, finally looking for food on the outside of Lumphini park, it
turns out quite a lot also sell there, it will be in Indonesia, sidewalks are on the sidewalk
sidewalk, just a bit clean, garbage is not careless, after seeing, I finally stopped at a noodle,
mienya stall for 49 bath (exchange rate 415) in my opinion it's not good, hehehehe, first given
1 cup of ice, I think that's why, it turns out in Bangkok, if you eat at street vendors (after
eating at the street, always same), we will be given glasses (canned glasses generally), and
the water turns out to be on the table, so we just fill the water into the ice, and that's our
drink.

from this Lumphini park I walk to Hua Lamphong station, all of you, who knows where to
find a place of interest on the trip, walking is quite far, about 2 hours
