B. Presentation
PowerPoint 2013 is presentation software that allows you to
create dynamic slide presentations. Slideshows can include
animation, narration, images, videos, and much more.

Opening PowerPoint 2013

When you open PowerPoint 2013 for the first time, the Start
Screen will appear. From here, you'll be able to create a new
presentation, choose a template, and access your recently
edited presentations.
From the Start Screen, locate and select Blank Presentation
creating a blank presentation.
Getting to know PowerPoint 2013

PowerPoint 2013 is similar to PowerPoint 2010. If you've


previously used PowerPoint 2010, PowerPoint 2013 should
feel familiar. But if you are new to PowerPoint or have more
experience with older versions, you should first take some
time to become familiar with the PowerPoint 2013 interface.

PARTS FUNCTION
Quick Access Toolbar The Quick Access Toolbar
lets you access common
commands no matter which
tab are selected on the
Ribbon.
The Ribbon The Ribbon contains the
commands you will need to
perform common tasks in
PowerPoint. It has multiple
tabs, each with several
groups of commands
Microsoft Account Account From here, you
can access your Microsoft
account information, view
your profile, and switch
accounts
Ruler The ruler is located at the
top and to the left of your
current slide. The ruler
makes it easy to align text
and objects on your slide.
Slide Navigation Pane The slide navigation pane
allows you to view and
work with the slides in your
presentation. The selected
slide will appear in the slide
pane to the right. You can
add, delete, duplicate, and
rearrange slides in the slide.

Zoom Control Click and drag the slider to
use the zoom control. The
number to the right of the
slider reflects the zoom

1. Open the PowerPoint Presentation 2013 from the start
screen 2. Choose the Blank Presentation Template
3. From the Slide Pane click the textbox written Click to
Add Title
4. Go to the Ribbon, find Home and font style. Find Courier
New font style.
5. On adding the title, encode capitalized words “I love
Philippines”
6. Highlight the words by dragging the mouse from the
beginning to the word up to its end. Choose the font size 84.
7. Click the textbox written Click to Add subtitle
8. Go to the Ribbon, find Home and font style. Find Lucida
Calligraphy font style.
9. On adding the subtitle, encode sentenced case words “It’s
more fun in the Philippines!”
10. Highlight the words by dragging the mouse from the
beginning to the word up to its end. Choose the font size 40.

11. Finish your work by choosing any available design. Find
from the Ribbon the Design and find your own aesthetic. D.

The class will be divided into groups, the number of groups
depends from the number of the students. The teacher will
be posing different questions or parts of the PowerPoint to
be recognize by the groups. They will write their answer on
illustrations or paper. They must not yet raise their answer
unless the teacher said it so.
F. Assignment: Continue getting to know MS PowerPoint
2013. Research about new features of MS PowerPoint 2013.

LEGAL RESPONSIBILTIES IN THE USE OF TECHNOLOGY TOOLS AND RESOURCES.

Scenario 1 (Digital literacy)

Challenge is third year student, she likes to do make up and talking with her close friend, but
aside from that she does writing and reading current news. One Monday morning her teacher
gives an assignment with her groups to do some research about the article she was assign and she
knew if she allow her classmate answer those article they would get wrong answer.

1. What do you think she’ll do to get a perfect answer?

4. What to do if you are a member of a group?

Scenario 2 (Digital rights and responsibilities)

Edna is good and kind woman, one day she was shock by the news on social media that her close
friend anally accuse her something in her she didn’t do it. Anally post her on social media that
she is a gold digger and adultery even if she’s not into it.

1. What do we think Edna would do to stop the false rumour?


2. What rights do Edna have if she was bully on social media?
3. What Edna does to sue anally?

Scenario 3 (Digital health and wellness)

Chelny is a social media influencer, she always does well and encourages someone with low
self-esteem to be them and free from anything they’ve been scared about. One day someone
message her to get encouragement words from her and use her kinds to take advantage she didn’t
know she was fool by him by sending his nude photos and making her feel uncomfortable. When
she realizes her too much kind she decided to block the guy to protect her and avoid that
scammer.
