Questions:

1. “Baby busters often receive higher salaries in an organization, as compared to

baby boomers” – Do you think this statement is true? Justify your stance with three
instances that you’ve come across in the recent news or with regard to any
organization in particular. (Maximum 2 pages) (10 Marks)
2. Imagine that you’re the Head of the Learning & Development (L & D) wing of the HR
in your organization. You’re given a task to up skill your employees with “PYTHON”
software. For this, you’re trying to hire an external trainer (A freelancer). Multiple
freelancers are applying for this opportunity, as your organization has a good brand
reputation. On the other hand, there are 3 “subject matter experts” within your
organization itself, but are not volunteering to offer the training program. As the
Head of L & D, on what basis would you select an appropriate trainer? Do you go in
with your in-house subject matter experts or do you choose any one of the
freelancers who’ve expressed interest? Explain your reasons, rationale and approach
behind this decision making as you narrow down on one trainer for the job.

3. (I) Continuing with the situation that we’ve considered for the previous question, as
the Head of L & D in your organization, to up-skill your employees on “PYTHON”
software, explain two possible methods of training that you think are most
appropriate for this program. (Maximum 1 page) (5 Marks).
(2). Also, what are the various design aspects that you would consider in successfully
administering this “PYTHON” program to your employees? You may touch upon the
various infra requirements, etc. as discussed in class. (Maximum 1 page) (5 Marks).
