1. Differentiate public and private speech

Public speaking is an oral presentation or speech delivered in front of a

live audience that is usually a formal or staged event that intends to
inform, influence, or persuade the audience, or to entertain them while
private speech is spoken to oneself for communication, self-guidance, and
self-regulation of behavior. Children as young as two years old can be
observed engaging in private speech, which is self-talk done by a child or
an adult to guide them in actions and aid in thinking which may not be
intended for or directed at others.

2. How communication is important to your life?

Communication is important in our lives as it can help us understand and

be understood by others. It also enables us in exchanging information and
knowledge which can improve our relationships with others while poor
communication skills may lead to frequent misunderstanding or
miscommunication.
