1. Distinguish a period from a condition


 Condition is an uncertain future act or event, the occurrence or nonoccurrence of which
impacts a party's rights or obligations under a legal document, particularly a contract.
While the period is an event that must occur sooner or later, at a fixed date or at an
unknown time. Obligations with a term are only demandable when the date set for their
completion comes. As a result, in actions to recover debts payable in installments, those
that are not yet due and payment cannot be claimed in the complaint.
