HEALTHY URBAN HOUSING (HOUSING TYPOLOGY AND DESIGN GUIDELINES) (based on Evidence
Based Design)

1. To review relevant Evidence-Based Design (EBD) methods.

2. To Identify tools applicable to carry out feasibility studies and EBD for Healthy Design for
Urban Housing through questionnaire, surveys, observation, case study and interviews.
3. To develop design strategies that may improve design outcome based on evidences.
4. To formulate general housing typology and design strategies/ guidelines and to be
implemented in Phase 3 – Design Development.
5. Assessment / Submission Format;
i. Report and Presentation (PowerPoint slides) of HOUSING TYPOLOGY + DESIGN CRITERIA of
Healthy Urban Housing especially to the selected site.
Learning outcome – To discuss and identify TYPOLOGY OF HEALTHY URBAN HOUSING AND
DESIGN CRITERIA by applying Evidence Based Design
