BENEFITS OF EXERCISE

A very good morning to the principal, teachers and fellow students. It gives me a
great honour to stand here in front of you and give this speech. First of all, I would like to
express my sincere appreciation to Mr. Azhar for giving me this opportunity to speak
today. Today im going to talk about “Benefits of Exercise”.

Recently, our minister of Health, Khairy Jamaluddin has talk about benefits of
exercise. I am sure you all know that exercise is important in our daily lives, but we may
not know why or what exercise can do for us. Did you know that physical activity or
exercise can improve your health and reduce the risk of developing several diseases like
cancer and cardiovascular disease. Exercise can have immediate and long-term health
benefits. Most importantly, regular activity can improve your quality of life especially for
students. If you are not healthy, you cannot lead a happy life and won't be able to
contribute to expansion of society.

Firstly, one of the benefits of exercise is to prevent obesity. Carrying ground too
much weight feels uncomfortable and it can also damage your health. As of 2006, in
Malaysia statistics obtained from the National Health and Morbidity Survey 2006 revealed
43 % of Malaysians' adult were obese or overweight. So, the best way to prevent this
things should start to exercise. Furthermore, exercise will help you to maintaining your
weight. Besides that, with exercise will help you to burns all your calories and keeps you
fit. The more calories burns, the healthier body we will get. In addition, the more muscle
you develop the higher your metabolic rate becomes so you burn more calories even
you're not exercising. The result ? you may lose you're weight and look better physically.

Moreover, exercise also help us to cure for stress. In these day, the mentor tension
and worries have become very common to us. Almost everybody has become a victim of
it. Stress comes in many forms and produces many symptoms. Many of us as students
feeling stressed suffer from stress because of worry about getting a good grade or simply
making time to study if there is more than upcoming test. This makes some students
unable to concentrate on their studies cause we doesn't have the energy to complete it all.
Besides examination, they stress because of too many works and assignment. So there
must be any proper way through which you may lower your stress and for this purpose
regular exercise is a very fruitful activity. If you do exercise regularly you will stay from
dejection and its help you to sleep better.

Thus, as you know doing exercise also can can improve your health by breathing
rate. However, your muscles will require less oxygen to move and they will produce less
carbon dioxide. This will immediately reduce the amount of air you will need to breathe in
and out for a given exercise. Circulation, or the flow of blood throughout our bodies, is
important for good health. When circulation is inadequate, or the blood does not flow
vigorously, symptoms can include tired or heavy legs, cold fingers and toes as well as low
energy and even dull skin. There are many activities that we can do like walking. By doing
this make us to not feel sluggish and sleepy.

The last one is while exercise you also will meet new friends. We know that
exercise is great for our minds and bodies, but sometimes it’s challenging to maintain
interest. That’s why exercising with a friend can be a huge benefit. For example, at the
park while doing some exercise we can meet new friends. We also can share some interest
about sport, heath and so on. By this will help us to enhance communication skills. During
this pandemic, most of us had to think new exercise to stay healthy. In addition we can
share some experiences and exercise technique together. So, we can do exercise with our
friends and having fun.

In conclusion, there are a lot of benefits of doing exercise and people of all age groups
can take advantage of exercise. Exercise helps in improving the strength and efficiency of
cardiovascular system which will improve the flow of oxygen and nutrition’s in your body. If
your cardiovascular system is working fine then you will find everything easy and ultimate
happiness in your lives. Exercising daily will help you in improving your muscle strength.
