“From the nursing home to the Governor’s mansion”

Joined with both in-person and videoconference family and friends, Cain Pence, age 46, originally of
Northeast Minneapolis announced his independent candidacy for Governor of Minnesota.

“We are going to try to do something that’s never been done in Minnesota politics - run a successful
statewide political campaign from a nursing home,” said Cain.

Currently residing in a state subsidized health care facility in St. Louis Park, Minnesota, Cain found
himself a resident there in the fall of 2021 after suffering two strokes following the Covid-19 vaccines.

“I’m running for truth and accountability- and I know that I’m not alone across this state in expecting
better leadership from our elected officials. While I could be angry at my vaccine-induced handicap, I
am instead turning this energy into an alternative electoral choice. Voters are seeking honest and
refreshing candidates in Minnesota this fall- I can guarantee you that I will be.”

Some of the issues Cain will be highlighting in his gubernatorial campaign is against the current
deterioration of public safety, unacceptable tolerance for poor educational outcomes, and clear lack of
relevant accomplishments from current major party candidates. He believes his vision for independent
executive leadership will resonate strongly with a majority of voters across the state.

“Voters have been misled from both major parties for too long. Especially in the last two years, we
have allowed so many unacceptable mandates and unfounded demands from our elected officials. We
must do better, we deserve better, and my campaign wants to serve you better” said Cain.

As an independent candidate, by May 31st, he is both petitioning to obtain 2,000 signatures from
eligible Minnesota voters, while also interviewing interested Lieutenant Governor candidates to join
the ticket. Cain looks forward to discussing his plans with Minnesota’s voters in the coming days and
weeks.
