    CT SCAN THORAX (HRCT)


    HRCT chest done by 32 slice MDCT scanning from apical to the dome of diaphragm
    at 1.25 mm thickness and interval.

    - Multifocal subpleural ground glass opacities are seen on bilateral lung fields.
    Multiple fibrotic bands are seen on bilateral lower lobe.

    - Trachea and major bronchi are normal position and caliber.


    No intraluminal soft tissue lesion seen.

    - Mediastinum and great vessels are normal. Cardiac chambers are normal.
    Esophagus is normal.

    - No mediastinal or hilar lymphadenopathy is seen.

    - No pleural or pericardial effusion seen.

    - No evidence of pneumothorax seen.

    - Bony thorax is intact.

    - Overlying soft tissue is normal.

    IMPRESSION:- Follow-up case of covid - 19 infection.

    - HRCT THORAX REVEALS RESIDUAL GROUND GLASS OPACITIES ON BILATERAL LUNG FIELDS WITH
    SUBPLEURAL FIBROTIC BANDS ON BILATERAL LOWER LOBES. CT SEVERITY INDEX- 10/25.
