College Research Reflection

1. List the campuses you plan on applying to or have already applied to. Highlight the three most important criteria you used in determining where to

apply.

Texas Christian University

Arizona State University

Spelman College

1: What I am looking for when I apply to college first. I like to see if they have the major I am looking for and can benefit from when I attend the university.

2: I am paying attention to the location of the university and how close it is to family and home, because I want to not be too far but not too close.

3: Lastly, the size of the campus and its diversity because I want to be at a small school that feels big and I feel all of the colleges I chose have that feel.

2. Which campus is the one you would most like to attend? Explain why this campus is your first choice compared to the others.

In Fort Worth, Texas, I will most likely attend Texas Christian University. This university was my first choice since it is close to my home, offers the degrees and

programs I want, and is a tiny campus with a huge heart. Unlike the other two schools I considered, one is too far away and does not offer my desired major, and the

other is a small school, but that is not a concern.

3. What will be your intended education goal? How does this goal relate to your chosen career? What resources do these campuses have to support you in

this career field?

My primary educational objective would be to complete my undergraduate degree. In terms of my job, it's ideal because it won't require any additional education,

which is a plus. Despite the fact that I have yet to visit the campus, the resources available at this institution are limitless. There are many resources available for

anyone's requirements, but for my major, they have something called the college of fine arts resources, which includes industry resources as well as TCU resources.

You can go to them for any of your needs.

4. How do the costs of attendance compare at each campus? How do you plan to cover the costs of attendance if you are accepted?

The school that I choose is on the higher end of my pricing range, which is not ideal, but it is for the greater benefit. Tuition at TCU is around 47,000 dollars, ASU is

11,000 dollars, and Spelman is 30,000 dollars. These expenses will be covered by financial aid, loans, and scholarships that I apply for.

5. Do you plan on transferring to a four year college? If so, which campuses are you interested in transferring to?

I don't plan on transferring into a 4 year college. I will be going straight into a four-year university.

6. Are there transfer agreements available? If so, which agreements do you plan to use to successfully transfer? What are the requirements of these

agreements?

I am planning on going straight into a four-year university.

7. Which classes are transferable from the community college you plan to attend to the campus you plan to transfer to? Are there classes that will not

transfer?

I am not planning on going to a community college.
