Violence against Women

Thesis Statement: There is a need to identify the causes of domestic violence, types, effects, and possible

approaches to end violence against women in an attempt to discover justice.

According to the article, cases of domestic violence have escalated in third-world countries.

Eastern Sudan being a more prevalent area where domestic violence has escalated, hostile

environment is part of life among women in the country. According to the author, cases of

domestic violence are associated to women’s educational status, cases of polygamy, and drug

addiction among men in the country. Most women are afraid to report cases of violence in

Eastern Sudan. Violence against women in the country involves sexual coercion, psychological

violence, and verbal insults. While the article solely focus on domestic violence, it would be such

an essential tool in boosting on a research on violence against women. Being a scholarly article,

the journal article satisfy the doubts of credibility.

Every woman has the right to live a safe and free life. However, studies shows that one in

four women in the United States experiences intimate partner violence; domestic violence and

emotional abuse such as stalking. Women are responsible of ensuring there is a decrease in such
cases. Women should make a safe plan to leave whenever they feel mistreated. Women are also

advised to save evidences of abuse such as pictures, threatening messages, and injuries to help

ensure fairness. While the source of information is not a scholarly sources, the article from

Office on Women’s Health would be such a helpful resource in supporting the discussion on

effects of violence against women. This article will be highly utilized in the discussion on the
effects that’s comes along cases of domestic violence against women.

disasters and cases of violence against women. A study shows that there are a number of women

are underlying obstacles to human well-being. Gender based violence offers a significant risk for

women’s mental and physical health. Research affirmed that gender based violence affects

women’s oral health behavior and status in the society. The research has a relevance to my

research in adding on general information about gender based violence.

In the journal article, Wolfe and Jaife offers a discussion on various strategies that are

emerging to prevent cases of domestic violence. According to the article, the previous strategies

available for fight against domestic violence provided intervention after the problem had

occurred. The authors proposed new strategies that would focus on prevention. The journal

article is scholarly and offers a bunch of information to my topic of discussion. The journal

article will be mostly utilized in supporting my essay on the part that I will be discussing the

resources available for battling cases of violence against women.
