Observation – Dilippur Panchayat witness sheet erosion in their cropland. Maximum sheet
erosion is evident in northeast part of the gram panchayat.

Observation – Dilippur gram panchayat show wasteland within the Gram Panchayat
boundary.

Observation-Majority of land is under crop land and forest land. Crop land lies at the
western, southern and central part of the Gram Panchayat.

Observation-Structural lineament, joints and fratures are not visible in the Gp

Observation – Dilippur GP has primarily three different ground water prospects. In the
central and northen part of GP the ground water prospect is less than 30m deep with 50-100
LPM yeild. In the eastern part, the ground water prospect is greater an 80m deep with yeild
between 20-30 LMP. In the southern part, the ground water prospect is greater than 80m deep
with 50 to 100 LMP yeild.

Chapter 2 Selection of MGNREGA Works

2.1 Problem Statement


During consultative meeting with community and GP level MGNREGA staff, the
natural resource linked problems identified for the Gram Panchayat are as-

1. Net irrigated Area –% Net area under irrigation


2. Erosion Status – High/ Medium/ Low erosion, which affects the quality of
topsoil. Loss of top soil reduces the agriculture productivity.
3. Forest Cover - % forest cover

Based on this the detailed list and the sites of identified works are represented in the
figures and table below.
