1. The ecosystem Approach (EcAp) is an ecological strategy for the integrated management
of land, water, and living resources that promotes conservation and sustainable use in an
equitable way. Application of the ecosystem approach is thought that will help to reach a
balance of the objectives of the Convention of Biological Diversity.
Ecosystem services are increasingly incorporated into explicit policy targets and can bea
n effective tool for informing decisions about the use andd management of the planet’s
resources, especially when trade-offs and synergies need to be taken into account.

2. MPA bukan hanya tentang melindungi dan melestarikan keanekaragaman hayati laut,
tetapi juga untuk mendukung perikanan berkelanjutann, ekowisata bahari, dan keperluan
lainnya untuk kesejahteraan masyarakat pesisir.
