WHY & HOW WE SHOULD CELEBRATE
"NATIONAL ANAESTHESIA & OPERATION
an important annual event of the Indian Anaesthesia &
Operation Theatre Technology professionals for
celebrating their professionalism and recognition for their
valuable services in the healthcare system. In India this
day celebration was started for the first time in the year
2017 on 20th July under the aegis of All India Association
of Anaesthesia & Operation Theatre Technologist
(AIAAOTT), which is first national level registered
association and an apex body of our professionals to
highlight their core issues before the concerned
authorities, educational development and professional
upliftment.
This national day celebration is also an excellent
opportunity for Anaesthesia & Operation Theatre
Technology professionals to create awareness amongst
the general public and among other healthcare
professionals about the critical role played by our
professionals and the impact of having these dedicated
professionals on overall patient care. The theme of this
year celebration is "The National Commission for
Allied & Healthcare Professions (NCAHP): path
forward for Surgical & Anaesthesia Technology
Professionals". The relevance of this day celebration is
more as because in the current year Government of India
is establishing our national and corresponding state level
councils as "NCAHP" to regulate the professional
education and practices/services of all major streams of
Allied Health Sciences including our profession. This is a
challenging phase of life for the entire Anaesthesia &
Operation Theatre Technology fraternity in combating
the corona pandemic.
Anaesthesia & Operation Theatre Technology
professionals work alongside the doctors in areas like
Intensive Care Units (ICUs), Medical Oxygen Manifold
Plant System, CSSD's, Emergency areas, pain clinic
and all type of Operation Theatres and providing
essential Anaesthesia/ Respiratory Care support and
services, also participate in teaching/ training and
research activities.
All India Association of Anaesthesia & Operation Theatre
Technologist (AIAAOTT) invites all Anaesthesia &
Operation Theatre Technology professionals, related
state level unions/associations, hospital level unions/
associations to please come forward with all the
precautionary guidelines, rules and regulations of local
administration in view of covid pandemic and celebrate
the " National Anaesthesia & Operation Theatre
Technologists Day-2021 on 20th July".

Profession by organising scientific CME's,
Symposium, Seminars & activities.
2. Organize various social, cultural & sports events on
the day.

4. Scientific quizzes may be organised for professionals
and students of this profession.
5. Celebrate your personal and professional
