Myself MUFAIZ-UL-ZAMAN pursuing pre-final year of

Bachelor of Technology at Government College of

Engineering and Technology (GCET), Kashmir, J&K ,
specialization in Bio-Medical Engineering. I am basically
from Jammu & Kashmir (Srinagar). My strengths are I am
a self motivated person, hardworking and a disciplined
person. My short term goal is to become a Clinical Specialist
in a reputed organization and long term goal is to achieve a
good position somewhere I can build my career and help
the organization too. I have completed my Hands-on
Training at Sher-i-Kashmir Institute of Medical Sciences
(SKIMS), Soura, J&K, in the Department of Radiological
Physics and Bio-Engineering. During my training, I had
learned about working, installation, calibration,
maintenance and servicing of various Biomedical
Equipments of the Hospital. Besides this, I also prepared
Biomedical Reports.
I have also completed my Undergraduate Research Internship at Indian
Institute of Technology (IIT), Indore in the Research Area of “Principles of
Disease Modelling, Target Identification, and Drug Discovery”. My
Research Topic was “Molecular Modelling , Anti-Inflammatory Drug
Discovery and Development”.
Beside my academics, I have keen interest in
Biomedical research area, Biomaterial implants and
management.
Talking about research,I did my term paper in topic "Recent
advancement in CRISPR/Cas9 Technology”, “Biomaterialin Hip
joint Replacement” and " Brain Tumor detection by using
Image Processing"(Term paper is kind of research paper
where we have to read the various research paper in a
specific topics and find the gaps and then we have to write
paper which is very similar to research paper, with present
development and future scope of that topic (which is all
about the theory part). In CRISPR/Cas9 technology I discussed
about how gene editing mechanism will happen and
systematic interrogation of mammalian genome function
which is possible due to advancements in editing of the
genes technological advances which is based onthe CRISPR
along with gRNA endonuclease Cas9. A short RNA
sequence can guide Cas9 to particular areas within a
complex genome and recent developments in CRISPR/Cas9,
specifically Cas9 modifications and what are the recent Cas9
modifications based on functional domains, In addition,
the CRISPR/Cas9 system selectivity and sgRNA selection
process and its current use, in which the functional
CRISPR/Cas9 method is used to modify the genome,
epi-genome, or rRNA of different species,
and finally, a discussion of potential applications and
challenges of many efficient methods developed from
CRISPR/Cas9, this all are included in this term paper. Talking
about the ‘Biomaterials in Hip Joint Replacement” I gave
just theory overview of Biomaterials primarily produced
for hip joint replacements from their inception to the
present day and history of Biomaterials is being
summarized in this term paper, from the earlier years of
Metallic and Polymers materials to today's Ceramics widely
used in Orthopedics for hip joint replacement.
I am applying for this Internship because I am very
interested in Research in Biomedical field and I want to
explore this theory knowledge more and more.
