Sruti Krishna Mishra

I am an enthusiastic budding designer who specializes in textiles. Being a

creative individual, my strength has always been having a keen eye for
detail. The intricacies of textiles have always inspired me. Looking forward to
gaining relevant experience through the upcoming opportunities.
 I believe design is something that is present in each and every corner of
the world. Every detail, every object, be it big or small is an inspiration for a
DESIGN designer, be it a leaf, a water bottle, a swing, an insect or a droplet of
water.

PHILOSOPHY So for me, design is all about getting inspired from these intricacies of the
world, which has no bounds to it. It's about looking into every object like it's
the next big thing in the world and understanding how the world looks at it.

Zimmerman is a ready-to-wear luxury brand
based in Australia. It is one of the leading brands
in the swimwear category today. The brand
follows a very recognizable style- bold and floral
prints on very interesting silhouettes. They have
given the whole brand a very holiday and
summery vibe. Zimmermann reflects the
Australian way of life that is cool, relaxed, and
natural through its collections.

Zimmermann is a completely sustainable brand

using 90% of natural fibres in its collections. These
include linen, silk and cotton.

The Macro World

Concept
The concept behind the theme is the macro
world. It defines details and intricacy of the
smallest things around us. This intricacy can be
found very vastly in nature like the wings of a
dragonfly or a snowflake. The inspired motifs
made keeping in mind the ethnicwear category.
The colour palette too is inspired from the
colours of nature.

The label Tasha India is a premium line of
ethnic wear, established in 2019 under
TASHA EXPORTS PRIVATE LIMITED, based
out of New Delhi.

It's a brand that promotes the age-old craft

of block printing with contemporary
silhouettes. The brand's color palette ranges
from deep hues to sun-kissed pastels. In the
prints. one can experience botanical
renditions of flowers, plants, animals, and
birds along with motifs inspired by Mughal
architecture and paintings.

Exuberant Rocaille
 Rococo Era

The inspiration for my collection is the Rocaille style from the Rococo era. Rocaille was a French
style of exuberant decoration, with an abundance of curves, counter-curves, undulations and
elements modeled on nature, that appeared in furniture and interior decoration during the
early reign of Louis XV of France. It consisted of fantastic ornamental, often asymmetrical,
combinations characteristic of the Rococo period, consisting of rock, shell, and plant forms
combined with artificial forms, esp C-curves. Rocaille decoration was heavily loaded with
decoration modeled on seashells, cascades of leaves and flowers, palm leaves, and other
natural elements. The decor on walls and furniture was usually made of carved wood or plaster
which was gilded.

Purity Of flaws
 The Boro Textile
The boro textile is an ancient textile that originated from Japan. It is made
by sewing scrap pieces of cloth together to make one textile. It is based on
the Japanese saying wabi-sabi which beliefs in finding beauty in
imperfections of life. This collection is based on the same saying and
focuses on finding purity in our flaws.
