JOB TITLE: Voice Engineer

LOCATION: , AZ

Responsibilities:
Responsible for design, capacity management of the telephony
environment.
Work with to troubleshoot and resolve persistent problems
Establish operational best practices and standard operating procedures for deployment,
support, and management (monitoring, inventory, sparing, etc.).
Interact with cross functional teams from Network Engineering, Sales Engineering and
Provisioning to review product requirements, functional specifications, and detailed designs.
Hold vendors & telecom carriers accountable to resolve operational issues, bugs and abnormally
high failure rates.
Assess utilization trends and make appropriate design and implementation recommendations to
scale the architecture.
Assist in the planning and management of all aspects of Network and Telephony related
projects.

Qualifications:
ears e perience engineering or supporting large scale production oice net orks
ears e perience in
Deep understanding of VoIP protocols such as SIP, SDP, RTP, SRTP, STUN, TURN
Deep understanding of data networking in relation to VoIP such as NAT translations, ALG,
firewall access rules, VPN, DNS etc.
Thorough understanding of VoIP components such as SBC, proxies, switches, media gateways
etc.
Understanding of Telephone Company & Carrier procedures, troubleshooting and
documentation.
