Significance of the Study

This study will be undertaken to find out the approaches used by the students in dealing with distance
learning and how these approaches affect their academic performance. Vital results of this study could
be highly significant and beneficial to the following:

The Students.

The direct recipients of the output of this research are the randomly selected students coming from the
College of Teachers Education, College of Technology and Allied Sciences, Health and Allied Sciences,
and Information Communication Technology of Bohol Island State University Calape Campus. Any
improvements of their academic performances with the help of the approaches can pave the way of
producing better learning and discipline to survive and thrive in the society.

The Teachers.

The findings of this study may serve as a wake-up call to develop and innovate instructional materials, as
well as to employ a variety of and appropriate teaching strategies.

School Administrators.

The findings of this study could be used to establish a baseline for future programs aimed at distance
learning and school advancement.

Parents.

They are directly concerned about their children’s academic performance.

Future Researcher.

The findings of this study can be used to guide future research into the approaches that students use to
deal with distance learning and how it affects their academic performance.
