Unit 8
Just Keep Swimming
Competition
For the 53rd Nashville Film Festival is going to feture seven days of
in-person screening at a variety of venues, in addition to offering a
range of films, panels and Q&As online.
My Idea
For this Unit I am going to make a Documentary that will inform people about
teenagers in sport, I want to inform them about the positive and negative effects
that it can have, as well as influence teenagers to take up a sport. I am going to
attempt to do this by Interviewing a range of people that take part in sports so
that I can get their opinion, as well as coaches at the swimming club that I am a
member of, as I think that they would be able to talk about how they see it
effecting the young people that they coach. For this to work I am going to make
sure that I include lots of interesting information on the topic and try to
investigate the topic by interviewing people that are involved with the topic so
that I am able to give the audience reliable information, as well as this I am
going to collect other research from other sources such as videos and websites. I
will ensure that I use the equipment that we are provided with such as a zoom
recorder to record voice overs and interviews, as well as tripods to get good
clear footage. I am going to make sure that I take into account what my peers
told me in the focus group that I took part In, they told me that the idea was
interesting and that they thought that it would be good to hear about a sport that
isn't spoken about much in the media.
Target audience
The target audience for this project is teenagers. This is my target
audience as this Documentary is going to be about teenagers In sport,
my aim is to inspire my target audience to take part In sports, whilst
raising awareness about how It can often be a lot of pressure on
Teens.
