In this interactive white board activity, the children will touch the board to design a
healthy plate or correct an unhealthy plate and learn about nutritional balance and

Activity 1) The students will be gathered in a semi circle in front of


the SmartBoard.
2) The teacher will begin by explaining and demonstrating
the activity
3) Main Activity: Putting together a healthy or unhealthy
plate based off of the MyPlate guidelines . If it is
unhealthy, the students will be given a chance in pairs
(grouped by proximity) to correct different plates.
4) If classroom management and student behavior is well,
the students can design their own unhealthy plates for
their peers to correct with the assistance of the
teacher.
5) Students will have to explain why the food choices are
