ACCOUNTS PAYABLE ANALYST

Job Description

At SCA, we rely on a meticulous financial system to drive business forward. Our third part
accounts payable (AP) department keeps that system running smoothly by managing cash
flow and paying vendors and suppliers for our clients. We are searching for a skilled
financial analyst to join our accounts payable team to help process, track, and record
payments in an accurate, efficient, and timely manner. The accounts payable analyst will
have both a day-to-day and ongoing impact on financial transactions, keeping us on track,
on time, and on good terms with our valued partners.

Objectives of this Role


 Support our clients’ business in optimizing their financial transactions and
systems
 Strengthen and grow relationships with vendors and suppliers through timely
payment
 Assist in streamlining and improving the accounts payable process
 Exercise integrity and confidentiality in financial reporting
 Comply with federal, state, and local financial requirements

Daily and Monthly Responsibilities


 Clarify any questionable invoice items, prices or receiving signatures
 Assemble and review invoices to be completed for payment
 Maintain copies of vouchers, invoices or correspondence necessary for files
 Type periodic reports and other records
 Obtain proper information and/or data regarding invoice payments
 Check vendor files for any previous payments and assign voucher numbers
 Prepare vouchers listing invoice number, date, vendor address, item
description, amounts and coding per accounting policies and procedures
 Reconcile bank statements
 Input daily bookkeeping and record keeping
 Verify invoices against purchase orders and ensure goods or services were
received before issuing payment to vendors
Skills and Qualifications
 Undergraduate diploma or equivalent
 Understanding basic principles of finance, accounting, and bookkeeping
 Superb time management and detail
 Proficiency with Microsoft Office
 Ability to keep company and partner confidences
 Written and oral communication skills
 Problem solving skills
 Proficiency both in English and Spanish (Mandatory)

Preferred Qualifications
 Strong mathematical skills
 Prior experience in accounts payable (or accounts receivable)
 Experience with accounting software and online platforms (QuickBooks, Xero,
etc.)
