METHOD STATEMENT FOR OHT & UG SUMP WATER PROOFING


WORKS
Surface Preparation:

1. The surface to receive the waterproofing shall be cleaned off all dust, dirt, loose
materials, debris, mortar droppings, laitance, oil, grease or any other form of
foreign matter which might affect adhesion and shall be saturated by water
sprinkling in surface driedcondition.

2. Thorough cleaning work, removal of loose screed, repairing the damaged


portions and filling any minor potholes with polymer modified mortar or fosroc
conbextra GP-2.

Coving:
1. All the right angle junction between the floor and wall shall be coved with CM 1:3
using Fosroc Nitobond SBR latex @ 1 litre per bag of cement after priming the
area with cement slurry in the Ratio 1:1:3 (SBR: Water:Cement).

Penetration Pipe Sleeve / Down Take Pipe Packing:

1. The bore packing for all the down take pipe shall be need to be properly
prepared to fill non- shrink grout compound Conbextra GP2 mixed with clean
water in the ratio 0.16 after preparing the core concrete surface and
pipecircumference.
2. Priming the concrete surface using Nitobond SBR latex mixed with cement in
slurryconsistency.

Grouting Treatment: (Wherever Required)

1. The slab shall be allowed for hydro testing with minimum 50mm height of water
ponding for 48 hours .
2. Construction joint, cracks and other leaking spots in the concrete surface shall be
drilled and fixed with 18mm dia heavy duty PVC pipe nozzles using Rendroc
Plug at regular intervals of 1m c/c or depending on the siteconditions.
3. It need to be ensured that the reinforcement is not damaged during drillingholes.
4. Construction joint shall be opened to size 20mm X 20mm and filled with
ConbextraGP2.
5. Cement slurry mixed with Cebex 100 free flow non-shrink cementitious
grout at the rate of 225gms per bag of cement shall be prepared to the
required consistency.
6. The prepared slurry shall be injected through the prefixed nozzles under pressure
using grout Pump to fill all possible pores and gaps left within the concretemass.
7. When the flow of grout stops, or when the grout flows out of the adjacent
nozzles, mains shallbe disconnected, nozzles shall be plugged & allowed
to set for 24 hours.

Waterproof Coating Application:


1. Prepare the brush bond by thoroughly mixing two components of Fosroc
Brush bond RFX powder and liquid. The mixing ratio should be for indl pack
15 kg of power 5 lit of RFX Liquid and 3lit water.
2. Pour Brushbond RFX liquid, mix powder component in to the drum / bucket
provided.
3. Surface to be treated with Brushbond RFX should be pre – soaked with clean
water.
4. For brush application, short stiff brush or roller, preferably 100 –
200mm width is bestsuitable.
5. Apply two number of coats @ the rate of 1.5Kg per Sqm (for 2
coats) with the interval of 4-6 hours depends upon the
climatic condition.
6. After 1st coat applied, 2nd coat should be apply in perpendicular direction to the
1st coat. coating should be carried out in side walls up to cover slab on internal
side.

Protective plastering:

1. Protect the coating with CM 1:4 admixed with fosroc conplast WL @


150ml/ bag ofcement with 15mm thick smooth finish plastering.
2. final ponding test should be carried out for 48 hrs.
