Submitted To: Maám Farah Amir Submission by: Surriya Murtaza Semester: VII Submission Date: 24 – 09 – 2021 Course: Data Analysis and Report Writing Calculating T-test and Analysing the Data. Hypothesis Formulation H1: A can contain average of 12.7919 ounces of soda. H0: A can does not contain average of 12.7919 ounces of soda. Level of significance: The level of significance is 5% α = 0.05 Testing the Hypothesis: This test ran on the provided data is T- test which is based on one sample. Critical Value The Null hypothesis shall be rejected if the p-value of the test is less than the level of the significance; which is p value < 0.05 we reject the null hypothesis p value > 0.05 we don’t reject the null hypothesis
Test and Analysis:
One sample t test was run. The test was to determine if the average capacity of a can is 12.7919 ounces which is defined as a mean (ounces). The sample had 100 cans. Output of the test shows a descriptive statistics for the variable that we have applied on to the test. It includes both mean and the standard deviation. Here, 12.7919 is the mean which has a standard error of 0.0217. this shows that there is a low risk of mean being different from the value that is stated above. because the p – value is greater than 0.05 which is ( p - value > .05) it is concluded that the average mean is 12.7919 ounces. So, we do not reject the null hypothesis Ho. This shows that the average capacity of a can is 12.7919 ounces. Graph:
This Box Plot shows graphically. And I can be concluded that data set under the study does not compromise the outliners because all the observation lies in the minimum and the maximum range.
