The question asks what did I learn in the first essay. First off, it was all about a personal

experiment. This personal experiment was not only on an academic level but it was also all about

something that is personal to you. My personal experience had to do all with social media. It was

to keep myself from not using social media but I would still have the apps on my phone. It was

difficult but I had to get used to it. Now, I didn’t necessarily have anything I learned from the

first essay to this essay because of how different they are. I also have not learned anything from

all my other classes that could be used in this essay.

As stated in the previous paragraph, the first essay was all about a personal experiment.

Which is obviously conducted by yourself. My personal experiment had to do with not using

social media and finding sources that supported my personal experiment that not using any social

media helps you become more productive and in general it may better your health. Although,

everything that I learned on this first essay, almost everything was not applicable because of

again how different the essay was.

What I learned in this essay that could be applicable to other classes has to be the use of

all my different sources and learning to use them differently. What I mean was that we had to

gather 10 different sources because the essay needed 10 different points of view and you then

had to describe what each meant. Meaning that I learned how to analyze different points of view

in many different ways. And then describe what they all meant on a different level without

putting my own opinions in.

I think that almost everything is going to be applicable in all my other different classes.

Mainly because of the use of analyzing and explanations of all the sources. I had explained in the

past paragraph of how everything I learned and how it can be applied to all my different classes.

But I personally believe that everything that I learned will be able to be applied to all my other

classes.

I personally believe that the creation of an annotated bibliography and a research analysis

essay will help me improve my writing because of that fact that an annotated bibliography and a

research analysis essay will help me understand the different view points of all the different

authors that write articles on certain topics. I will be able to analyze the articles on a different

level and with an annotated bibliography it will help me gain more knowledge and then a

research analysis essay will be easier with the annotated bibliography.

One weakness that I had with this essay had to be the gathering of all the sources and

then making all of the annotated bibliographies. The next weakness that I had was not trying to

take a side according to one of the comments. Another weakness that I had, had to be trying not

to be as wordy as possible.

I think the comments will be somewhat of the same comments that I got from my peers

saying that Taking a side should not be something that should be done on the essay. Also that I

did not have a proper conclusion. Also my essay should not be rushed because to me it felt like I

rushed it.

The most challenging aspect of this assignment had to be when I had to find all of my

sources and then making my annotated bibliography and the essay in general. In the end, it was

not all easy so it was mostly difficult for me.
