AP United States History

APUSH Facts
 This class is HARD
 In many ways more difficult than an actual college level history class
 The end goal is to pass the AP Test… therefore the class
structure is designed with that goal in mind

Responsibilities

Student
• Learn the content through readings,
questioning, and analysis
• It is your responsibility to learn the
content (autonomous learning)
• Communicating with teacher and other
students via email
• Awareness of all due dates and keeping up
with the pace of the class
Teacher
• Assist students with understanding of
content
• NOT a history textbook (email works
best for complex content questions)
• Help students build reading, writing, and
critical thinking skills

 Although many other APUSH students will tell you to just watch online videos
instead of taking notes from the textbook, actually reading the textbook and taking
notes from it gives you much more knowledge than if you were to only watch the
videos.
