Rabindranath not solely was a author however was a visionary additionally. The
fragrance that unfold everywhere the country, penetrate into his soul and
enthralled his heart. He circumstantially looked into the matters scattered
everywhere. Some events gave him ecstasy, and a few plunged him into the
deepening waves of woes. He transcended the inheritable error with bravery and
self-determination. He was a person to whom nothing that was human could be
alien. So he was the high priest of life and humanity. the worth of life was
unrolled to him within the context of universal like to the humanity.
Rabindranath’s writings weren't those of a person United Nations agency diode
the life of a recluse. He scans the social and human affairs properly. When he
stripped off aristocracy in protest against the torture of British people within the
geographical area, it clearly tried that he had a really good sense of nationalism,
political maturity and understanding of the social service, as a result of the
author worshipped India and its beauties. He needed the liberty of India
however freedom to him was much more than political freedom. it had been a
freedom that will remove economic condition, social tortures, inhuman social
customs and outrages carried out to the downtrodden by the alleged blue
category of individuals. The author resolved to be fearless. He announced that
albeit tempest came, he wouldn't be afraid, and he wouldn't quit hope. The
country had given the author life and strength. We had to cross a thorny path of
life wherever retreat was not possible. He suggested folks to not weaken by the
timid counsel of over – cautious men. The storm came to humble and asked
folks to rise higher than it and if impossible, then face it with bravery as a result
of it came as a necessity with deserves and demerits.
R.N Tagore’s Philosophy:
His way of thinking is a combination of humanism, independence, naturalism,
optimism, authenticity, mysticism, internationalism and patriotism. Tagore
commented, "I have extraordinary confidence in humankind like the sun it very
well may be blurred, yet all at once never doused."
He had colossal confidence in people, since god is appeared in man. It is through
a comprehension of humankind that we can achieve a definitive objective of life
and since the maker appears in an interesting way, every individual attempt to
understand the maker in his own specific manner.
Like Rousseau, he was a maverick purporting independence as the belief of life.
He accepted that each individual is extraordinary and adequate opportunity
should be given to individual to mold his life in his own particular manner and as
per his own normal blessings and possibilities.
He accepted that the maker plagues through the entirety of His manifestations
and as such there is an otherworldly connection between endlessly man and
nature. As an extraordinary admirer of nature like Rousseau, he emphasized that
'nature' is the indication of the maker (Brahman) who uncovers through
numerous ways more straightforwardly however nature than through man. He
wanted that people ought to have a nearby fellowship with nature.

THE EDUCATIONAL PHILOSPHY

R.N. Tagore reflects his general philosophical doctrines. He succinctly remarked,
“Education is a permanent part of the adventure of life. it is not like a painful
hospital treatment for curing students of the congenital malady of their
ignorance, but is a function of the health, the natural expression of their mind’s
vitality.”

The highest education is that which does not merely give information but makes
our life in harmony with all existence. “Education means enabling the mind to
find out that ultimate truth which emancipates us from the bondage of the dust
and gives us the wealth not of things but of inner light, not of power but of love,
making this truth its own and giving expression to it.”

His educational philosophy professes five cardinal

principles
(i) Freedom for the Child
(ii) Active Communication with Nature and Man
(iii) Creative Self-expression
(iv) Internationalism

OBJECTIVES:
Rabindranath Tagore's commitments to Bengali writing and the Indian current
workmanship development, as well as his methods of reasoning and
achievements as a craftsman, teacher, and lobbyist are commonly known all
through India today. During the main portion of the 20th century, Tagore
crossed over the scholarly split among East and West when the Indian country
was battling to break liberated from the severe rule of the British Empire. Tagore
is an all around the world perceived artist and savant and his thoughts regarding
multifaceted correspondence are significant even today. He expounded
prophetically on the risks of globalization, remarking that ''the modem age has
brought the topography of the earth close to us, however made it challenging for
us to come into contact with man."] Tagore introduced his answers for this
advanced globalization by , . Empowering "liberal and imaginative"
correspondence between countries. In this manner he trusted that the worldwide
local area would be able "come into contact with man" through common
agreement and regard. In 1919, Tagore established his global college, Visva-
Bharati in Shanti Niketan trying to join the East and the West through instruction
and inventive idea. It was in the practice of Tagore's instructive and worldwide
beliefs that I left on an extended autonomous review project in November
of2009. I ventured out from Delhi to Kolkata to investigate a determination of
Tag metal's artistic work, as well as his ways of thinking about expressions,
style, and schooling. This subject is significantly expansive, particularly thinking
about the famous Bengali saying: "It is difficult to complete the process of
perusing in a lifetime all the Rabindranath wrote in one life.,,2 The bringing
together topic of my exploration would be the making of a progression of
blended media workmanship pieces in light of Tagore's considerations and verse.
Through the making of these works I wanted to investigate Tagore's words and
contemplations about imaginative articulation and the idea of workmanship.
Also, I wanted to put Tagore' s. worldwide ideal into training, by getting the
achievements and ways of thinking of this significant figure of Indian history
through inventive means. In his paper "East and West" Tagore expressed, "The
West has come to us, not with the creative mind and compassion that make and
join together, however with a shock of energy - enthusiasm for influence and
wealth.,,3 My expectation during this study was to investigate Tagore's
speculations and work of art with an innovative, thoughtful, and imaginative
brain. The aftereffects of my review were, as a matter of fact, effective. I went
from Sudder Street in Kolkata, where Tagore composed his assortment of
sonnets Evening Songs,4 to Santiniketan, Tagore’s, home for quite a bit of his
grown-up life. I then forged ahead to Darjeeling, where I wanted to come into
contact with my own normal motivations. To lead my exploration, I visited
locales important to Tagore's life, read some of his articles, verse, and
`collections of memoirs, met with researchers, and read papers and histories by
Tagore's faultfinders, peers, and supporters. During the extended period, I
finished seventeen craftsmanship pieces affected by Tagore's words, life, and
methods of reasoning. These pieces are, in numerous ways, reflections and
festivities of Rabindranath Tagore; through the creation ofthis craftsmanship I
had the option to decipher and assimilate Tagore's verse and exposition. 3

RABINDRANATH TAGORE’S –
AN ILLUSTRIOUS TEACHER
Whenever we consider instruction, two things show up before us - one is school
and other is instructor. The pictures of two things meet up - a structure where
information is conferred and a man sitting before a work area speaking about
something to his educated. Despite that everybody realizes that there is more
instruction than what we get from school and there are a greater number of
educators than we recognize. From support to the grave we gain from numerous
educators who are around us. They are old and youthful, learned or oblivious,
exceptionally positioned or humble. From each and everybody we learn
something. Yet, it's obviously true that there are a few instructors who stand
apart above others. There are a few instructors who might be known as the
creators of a specific age yet there are rare sorts of people who might be viewed
as the producer of entire humanity. Rabindranath was an instructor with
adaptable virtuoso, and he was a conceived educator. This is definitely not a
misrepresented reality that he will stand apart as an instructor above others a
large number of ages. He had shown us an excellent language that he has made
to involve it for our own motivations. He has taught us with the various shades
of the craft of sonnet. None before him knew this method. Normally his method
of instructing has moved forward in idyllic schooling. He has unfurled the
magnificence of nature which prior men didn't have the foggiest idea. Again he
has shown us how to know life, how to adore and sob. He has agreed us with a
way of thinking of life and prepared us in public and individual sense of pride. He
has additionally increased our ethical expectation. This is the thing can be
supposed to be the characteristics of an instructor which have been adequately
found in Rabindranath as an educator.

WAY OF LIFE
Rabindranath accepted that change was the real lifestyle. So, he familiar himself
with contemporary issues. As we track down Upanishadic considerations in his
work’s, so we track down the characters of 'Upen' and 'Krishnakanta', in 'Dui
Bigha Jami' and 'Puratan Vritya' perfectly portrayed giving a record of their
distresses and agonies. However, he had Upanishadic considerations in his brain,
he revoked salvation. He believed that appropriate salvation lay in progress of
the majority who worked hard with their perspiration and blood for the elevate
of the general public. In this way, he never abandoned the general public and its
kin. He needed a functioning life creating process - liberated from insidiousness
and savagery. In this sense, he was a genuine nationalist as well as a radical.

GURUDEV & MAHATMA

The friendship between Rabindranath and Gandhiji was remarkable. Though they
had differences on many vital political issues, their respect for each other never
diminished. The poet always addressed Gandhiji as Mahatma and Gandhiji never
forgot to address Rabindranath as Gurudev. What a great attachment! But in
this age we see that people who have differences with others, the former never
hesitate to drive opponents apart. Gandhiji and Rabindranath both were
unselfish and as such they respected each other.

CULTURAL VIEWS OF TAGORE

However, Rabindranath talked about Indian culture, he had no doubt of any
culture in light of its unfamiliar person. However, he thought the need of outside
powers for the legitimacy of our scholarly nature. He protested the counterfeit
game plan with which western training would in general consume all the space of
our public brain and subsequently killed the incredible chance for the production
of a novel insight power by another mix of bits of insight. He asked that every
one of the components in our way of life must be fortified not to oppose the
outsider culture but rather really to acknowledge and absorbed, to use for our
food not as our weight; to get authority over this culture and not to live
following the ways displayed by different nations which won't be advantageous
to us. Tagore had a unique thought regarding society which different scholars
only here and there considered. As per him, the Indian culture depended on an
arrangement of complementary cases. He thought that in our general public the
rich should make presents, the house holders get visitors, the learned would
grant the schooling, the old would secure, the adolescent would save all
consequently. Many races had come to our territory and began to cherish it. This
was solidarity in variety and based on this he appreciated an objective of all-
inclusiveness, =f/as obviously, Indian culture would transmit sparkle through it.
Relevantly the artist declared and informed individuals concerning India to
proceed to address the rancher as he got back from the field, to the shepherd
when he drove his sheep to the enthusiast as he completed his contributions to
the special stepped area of the God, to the Musalman while his reciting of
supplication was finished. Then, at that point, the evening sky would repeat the
tune of our unified voice. This thought demonstrates that Rabindranath
appropriately deciphered his country since he was magnanimous, liberal in his
idea. Resultantly he was not a long way from teaching his contemplations of
nationalism. He did it and prevailed to the fullest structure.

PRIEST OF SOUL
Soul, he understood, was the main weapon by which the social request might be
changed. He believed that main bold soul made certain to arrive at the objective
of triumph needed by Tagore. He needed to puncture through the boondocks to
storm the jail place of the spirit. Thus, in his sonnet 'Nirjharer Swapnavanga' he
discussed breaking the bars of jail of soul with ceaseless undertaking to break
the chains. This unyielding idealism is required today to serve our country and
its kin and to save individuals drenched in wretchedness and uncertainty. He
was stunned by the hopeless condition of town life. What stunned him the most
were the rustic individuals' demeanor towards one another, evil way of behaving
displayed to neighbors, savant's useless endeavor on void issues, degeneration
of religion, destructive offbeat, neediness - stricken masses and the mentality of
unfeeling blue-bloods. He, as though, heard the high-pitched cry of the ravenous
and dejected. In spite of the earth was brimming with rich collect, individuals
actually starve. Be that as it may, he never became irredeemable and dejected
on the grounds that the brilliance of the morning sun previously uncovered to
him a genuine image of his mom land. So he accepted that extremely soon the
inauspicious murmurs of individuals would be transformed into happy delight
and afterward individuals would be more joyful. He anticipated the time as it
were. Without this logical and innovative brain nothing productive should be
possible for the general public and working masses.
CONCLUSION:
To conclude, it may be said that Rabindranath was a universal philosopher as
well as a great educationist. His educational endeavours were huge, and a major
portion of his work was noteworthy. He tried to build up the mind and culture of
more than one generation of men. That is why he is adorned primarily in Bengal
and indirectly all over the world. He was a great poet indeed, but none can deny
that he was a great all-round man of letters. Learning through nature, music,
and life was at the heart of Tagore's educational philosophy. This is why his
education is so simply accepted by the human mind. Rabindranath Tagore, the
visionary and brilliant educator, answered the problem of today a century ago.
The problems of modern education are attendance, use of other unfair means
and indiscipline. It is more certificates oriented irrelevant of intelligence and
correlation with Nature. Tagore solved these problems in a grand way. The lack
of an invigilator solved the problem of copying or the use of dishonest means,
while freedom in the classroom solved the problem of attendance. As a result,
Tagore's educational system is a significant accomplishment. It is regrettable
that we did not attempt to apply Tagore's formulas.. That is why his
Shantiniketan, Viswabharati and Sriniketan may be said to constitute Tagore’s
educational trinity through which he tried to develop his educational ideas of
converging the whole world in a single nest. In conclusion, Tagore praised the
concept of unity in diversity, which must be instilled in our minds if we want to
have a shining India without denying the diverse cults of Indian people's exterior
distinctions. The poet ardently prayed for the well-being of the people of India
and he was sure that his cherished thought and his idea of patriotism would
usher in if not immediately, then later. He had a deep rooted believe that India
had a definite contribution to make the world culture with glittering rays
deflected from piece of diamond which is nothing other than India.D
