The audience will scrutinize everything from the interviewer's preparation and credentials to their beliefs and
even apparent biases. This is exactly what happened when the 2022 Presidential One-On-One Interviews with
Boy Abunda aired recently. Everyone interested in the 2022 Philippine elections tuned in or caught up on
Abunda's top-trending interviews, which featured the country's leading presidential aspirants. When
entertainment host Boy Abunda urged VP Robredo to rapidly explain why Filipinos should not vote for
opponents in the political "fast talk" section of the interview on Wednesday, January 26, the Philippine Vice
President and opposition leader did not mince words.

"Number one, sinungaling. Pangalawa, in the difficult moments, hindi siya nagpapakita." she remarked when
asked about Marcos. When asked why voters should not vote for her fellow candidates, Robredo said this
during a presidential candidate interview with Boy Abunda on Wednesday. Robredo was later questioned
why Filipinos should not vote for the other presidential contenders during the interview. She claimed that
Manila Mayor Isko Moreno is unclear on a number of issues. Senator Panfilo Lacson, according to Robredo,
talks a lot but doesn't do the groundwork. Lacson worked with the Philippine National Police for 32 years
before becoming a three-term senator. Lacson has a reputation as a politician for exposing legislators'
suspected pork barrel funding. Robredo also didn't hold back in her criticism of Senator Manny Pacquiao,
whom she earlier stated that she would vote for if she weren't running for president. When Abunda asked
why people shouldn't vote for Pacquiao, Robredo paused for a moment before responding that a positive
attitude isn't always enough to win a presidential election. The boxing legend turned senator has been
complimented by Vice President for his genuineness. During last year's unity negotiations, Pacquiao was the
most willing to sit down with Robredo, but the two finally decided to pursue their individual Malacañang
ambitions.

At the conclusion of the interview, Robredo explained to the Filipino people why they should vote for her
rather than her opponents on crucial subjects such as the pandemic, the drug war, and the West Philippine
Sea conflict. So, why should Filipinos support her? Robredo claims that her track record at the Vice
President's Office demonstrates her capacity to manage and deliver results. "Boy, this crisis has shown – and
many other crises in the past – that women leaders shine during crisis. And I have shown through our work in
the OVP, we were able to surpass a lot of crises with flying colors" Robredo added. She previously cited the
OVP's ability to execute effective anti-poverty and pandemic response activities despite its limited budget as
evidence of what she can accomplish if elected president. Meanwhile, Marcos' spokesperson, Vic Rodriguez,
stated that his campaign does not engage in negative campaigning. Robredo's followers, on the other hand,
were taken aback at first, but complimented the Vice President for calling a spade a spade. They also
complimented her for her eloquence in the face of Abunda's many interruptions during the interview.
