Amazon company
Amazon has a worldview and huge assert on efficiency. The E-commerce company is committed to
evolving in every possible way. Amazon’s employees are grouped by functions. Amazon owns more
than 800,000 employees. company’s organizational structure also plays a huge role. The corporation
is based on a high level of hierarchical structure. They incorporate function-based groups and
geographic divisions with the hierarchical organization. The organization is divided into specific areas
such as finance, marketing, HR, administration, IT, and production.
Jeff Bezos is the head of the company and their chart of employment is set up by top-down. This type
of route reminds us of the chain of command. They have about six CEO span of control. Their labor
turnover is low. Employees don’t stay there for decades but years. Even though Amazon’s
organizational structure can be classified as hierarchical, The organization has a flat structure.
Amazon is organized into teams, each of which is responsible for a specific product or business,
rather than a function such as marketing, product development, or engineering.
During a project, Jeff Bezos uses the two pizza rule. This means it’s a project-based organization.
They pick out members from different departments but quantity is limited. The size of the group is the
group that only can fit two pizzas. The company keeps small groups working efficiently. Members are
specialists in their fields. They have a simple approach when it comes to the organizational structure
by region. They split their division into North America and Internationally.
Lastly, Amazon’s corporate structure is effective. it supports international growth, especially with the
e-commerce market. An advantage of role-based groups and hierarchy is that they allow Amazon Inc.
to quickly and effectively implement management directives. They do everything according to plan
which has consequently good outcomes. All this commitment led to being one of the top companies in
the world. That being said I do not have any advice in this field. Furthermore, they should be
competitive with others and provide greater value to consumers.
