The Functions and Goals of Human Resource Management

1. Define the Human Resource Management

 Human resources refer to both the people who work for a
company or organization and the department in charge of
managing all employee-related issues. Employees are one of
the most valuable resources in any business or organization.

2. Scrutinize the New Concepts of Human Resource Management from

the Personnel Management
 Human resource management (HRM) is the function of an
organization that focuses on the people aspect of
management. It consists of methods that assist the business
in dealing effectively with its people during the various
stages of the employment cycle, such as pre-hire, staffing,
and post-hire. The pre-hire process entails planning
procedures. The firm must decide what types of job
opportunities will exist in the coming period and what
qualifications will be required to fulfill these tasks.
During the hiring phase, the organization chooses its staff.
Recruiting applicants, analyzing their qualifications, and
eventually picking those thought to be the most qualified
are all part of the selection process.

3. Differentiate Human Resource Management and Human Resource

Development
 Human Resource Management (HRM) is considered as a
collection of distinct sub-functions, whereas Human Resource
Development (HRD) is viewed as a component of a bigger
system inside a company.
4. Discuss the Core Functions of Human Resource Department
 Development—training attempts to increase personal, group,
or organizational effectiveness—is a key component of human
resource management. Describe the fundamental assumptions
underlying the development process as it is carried out by
human resource management specialists.

5. Elaborate the Human Capital and the Human Capital Management

 Human capital management (HCM) is a set of methods and
instruments used to attract, recruit, train, develop,
manage, and retain personnel in order to fulfill company
objectives. Organizations that rely on their people to
achieve their goals invest in developing the essential
abilities that their employees require to generate results.
Human capital management assists in identifying gaps in
employee capabilities and directing recruitment efforts
toward meeting those needs.

HCM techniques can help in the creation of a strong

organizational culture that encourages employee development
and commitment to company goals. Employees have more control
over their careers and are encouraged to dedicate their
skills and talents to the firm in the long run.
