Google has a stipulation with schools that allows them to use Chrome on their laptops for the
students. Many schools have Cromebooks in their classrooms which means that the technology
is right at their fingertips. Parents are not OK with their children being so accessible to the
internet or that their internet profile online is open to everyone. Technology in the classroom is
advancing and not slowing down. People are working towards making google certified in
classrooms so that it has to be used. Having access to Google in the classroom helps create
more engaging lessons for students and encourages critical thinking.

I think that being accessible to Google and more technology is important. The world continues
to change, and since we are in a pandemic, knowing how to adapt and change is very
important. Teaching students how to use Google and other types of technology can certainly
help them in their futures, it will help with resumes and trying to get jobs. This is an older
article, much has changed since 2012 and now it’s not uncommon to have technology in
classrooms, it’s very hard for teachers to have an engaging lesson without it.
