Interactive Mathematics

It is a Mathematics Website with a mission to inspire and educate people about the wonders of
mathematics. It accomplishes this through the use of clear examples, analogies to the "real world," and
interactive applets that allow the user to explore mathematical concepts.

IntMath was founded in 1997 by Murray Bourne whom for several years, worked as a secondary school
teacher in Australia, moved to Japan and taught mathematics (in English) for four years, when he
returned to Australia, he taught at TAFE (Technical and Further Education), then relocated to Singapore
to teach engineering mathematics at a polytechnic, and now a self-employed trainer and consultant who

This website, IntMath consists of a set of math tutorials supplemented by interactive javascript and SVG
applets which can be seen in their “Home” page. A very organize page to view everything that could be
found within the website. The “About” page includes a chapter summary to guide users in their
mathematics learning. This website has over 20,000 unique visitors per day and over 3/4 million page
views per month (as the page cited). On the “About” page, there is a corner which contains hundreds of
testimonials from satisfied users about IntMath. There is a “Tutoring” services which of course isn’t free
however guarantee a better understanding and grades. The site also included a corner that verified their
math lessons and content by top organizations like Yale, TED, Oxford, Harvard and NASA. The only
downside of this website is the minimal popping up of advertisements nevertheless, it can be removed if
exited.
