Lord Cornelius Klosterheim

Lord Cornelius Klosterheim is a High Inquisitor of the Ordo Malleus in the Calixati Conclave.

Through his 250 years long career he has faced xeno, heretic and daemon in equal
measure, and has achieved respect and reputation which go far beyond the borders of the
Calixus Sector.

Long a proponent of the Puritan Monodominant philosophy, decades ago he publically

moved towards the more moderate Amalathian doctrine.

In his heart, though, as he gets older, he finds himself secretly thinking a bit more like a
Radical. His experience has taught him that despite what he thought when he was younger,
fire and purification are not enough to defeat Mankind’s enemies. Sometimes one has to
take a burden upon himself in order to defend the Imperium, and if an Inquisitor can’t do it,
then who will?
Sacrificium

A massive, battle-ready Inquisitorial Black Ship.

Ominous and gothic, it generally emits no light, but when given the order it can illuminate
itself, with a large fire beacon at its prow, and many thousands of small candles at both
sides.

It is a large ship. Along the typical sections contained on an Inquisitiorial ship, it has a large
Library, a Cathedral, a deep Dungeon (no one knows the extent of its deeper tunnels, the
Dungeon is said to be connected through secret passages to various sections of the ship, so
it could be used to navigate through the ship in secrecy), the Inquisitor’s private quarters
(a whole section of the ship where only Lord Klosterheim and his personal servants are
admitted), and an Inner Sanctum (hidden chambers where Lord Klosterheim keeps his
secrets).

The Inner Circle

These are Lord Klosterheim’s most trusted men and women, closest advisors, the elite
specialists and go-to personnel to either delegate important tasks or to accompany him on
missions he handles personally.

Interrogator Veredic Makaijem

A former Commissar, Veredic is a man Klosterheim selected to be one of his own

Interrogators due to his exceptional loyalty, sharp intelligence and cold analytical nature.
Interrogator Valk van Meck

Valk is an Arch Exorcist of the Ecclesiarchy, a man of singular faith and will, extremely
methodical and relentless. Both him and Veredic are destined to be Inquisitors of their own
one day, and they serve as Klosterheim’s right and left hand respectively.

Interrogator Vasua Vullhurst

The youngest Interrogator in Lord Klosterheim’s service and most recent addition to his staff.
Vasua was noticed by Klosterheim when she reached out to him exposing the suspected
heresy of her own family, providing Klosterheim with a plethora of evidence she had
collected herself through her own private investigation. After burning her family, Lord
Klosterheim took her under his wing.

Explicator Stavros Sabbechar

Stavros has served you exceptionally well for years as Explicator and Excoriator. He is in
charge of torture, and adept at making anyone, human, mutant or xeno, talk and confess.
A ruthless and sadistic man who enjoys bloodshed and relishes in the pain of others, his
actions still serve the God Emperor of all Mankind.

Librarian Corvin de Quenaal

Corvin is a Sage and a Savant, his brain capable of storing and recollecting an absurd
amount of information. He also serves as Lord Klosterheim’s head librarian, and he’s an
invaluable advisor.

Colonel Hector Nenz

After a distinguished career in the Astra Militarum, stalwart Colonel Nenz is now the
commander of Klosterheim’s Inquisitorial Stormtroopers.

Chirurgeon Wolsane Jaurwald

An experienced chirurgeon who served in the Officio Medicae for many decades, Wolsane is
now head of the medical staff of the Sacrificium. He’s extremely callous and lacks bedside
manners.
Astropath Obed Fyrene

Obed, once a Primaris Psyker of the Astra Militarum, is the head of the Adeptus Astra
Telepathica’s detail on board the Sacrificium, and Lord Klosterheim’s most trusted psyker. He
assists him in anything related to psyker matters (including autoseances).

Pariah Hassa Callobic

Formerly an Arbiter, Hassa is an exceptionally rare type of person as she possesses the
Pariah gene, making her a Psychic blank. She is also an exceptionally gifted agent on her
own, having been trained in combat and infiltration since an early age. She devoted her
entire life to the work of the Inquisition.
Captain Enoch Pyreburn

The captain of the Sacrificium, he answers directly to Lord Klosterheim.. A veteran of the
Gothic Wars, he’s an accomplished former Rogue Trader corsair and knowledgeable in void
combat and tactics.

Knight-Crusader Luxborn

Once in his youth a heretic who repented and willingly confessed, fire cleansed him of his
sin, showing him the Emperor’s light and truth (and completely melting his face). He left his
family name behind, adopting the name of Luxborn. He now commands the military branch
of the Flocks of the Faithful and crusading forces on board of the Sacrificium, thousands of
fanatics and repentants who Klosterheim unleashes anytime he finds it convenient.
Agent Arkhan Solfels

Arkhan was once a Kasrkin elite trooper of the Astra Militarum, then a mercenary, then a
loyal bodyguard and formidable warrior in service of Lord Klosterheim. He’s an expert at
most weapons known to man. He is Lord Klosterheim’s go-to warrior when things get ugly
alongside Morgus.

Agent Morgus

Morgus is an Ogryn who was in service of the Astra Militarum. He is a veteran of many
battles and has over 350 confirmed kills. He’s absolutely fearless and fierce, but not too
bright.
Magos Biologis Gideon Varaand

Gideon is part of the Adeptus Mechanicus Cabal on board the Sacrificium. He is an

accomplished Genetor, having researched lethal pathologies for most of his life. He entered
service of the Inquisition as that opened the opportunity to study xeno biology.

Reclaimator Carenze Eaglelocke

Another member of the Adeptus Mechanicus Cabal in service to Lord Klosterheim.

Reclaimator Carenze is a young and eccentric but extremely bright Tech-Priest. Despite his
young age, he has been accused twice of being a Heretek, but has been acquitted both
times. Lord Klosterheim, finding potential in his unconventional methods, decided to take him
into service.
Hierophant Confessor Orsane Killechoff

Orsane is the highest member of the Adeptus Ministorum on board the Sacrificium, and a
Confessor whose faith and zeal are legendary. Klosterheim values him for his passionate
sermons, and more than once he unleashed him and his cohort of preachers and zealots on
planets whose population needed to be reminded of the true religion and its tenets. He
answers directly to Lord Klosterheim, directs the Flocks of the Faithful and Knight-Crusader
Luxborn is his right arm.

Seeker Ryko Vincasmic

Ryko was a criminal, a killer-for-hire and a bounty hunter of renown on the Hive World of
Necromunda, until he crossed paths with a powerful nobleman. Captured by a Judge-Arbiter
and sentenced to join a Penal Legion, he was lucky that Lord Klosterheim was on the planet
on official business and he noticed the case. He offered Ryko absolution in exchange for
loyal service to the Inquisition for the remainder of his life. He is a hunter of man, a skilled
tracker, except his prey now are heretics. He also knows how to blend in the underworld.

Assassin Helia Strefecht

A woman who emerged from the ranks of zealots and fanatics of the Flocks of the Faithful,
Helia is part of a Death Cult, and a lethal assassin. Her actions and killings are entirely in
service of the Emperor, and she has sworn not to use any kind of firearms. The only ranged
weapons she uses are throwing stars and knives.

Secretary-Notary Otto Raspensian

An elder member of the Adeptus Administratum, Otto is head scribe, secretary and notary
for Lord Klosterheim.

Steward Titus Sabaision

Titus has been Lord Klosterheim’s personal servant and steward for many decades,
assisting and supporting him in all kinds of tasks, no matter how low or menial, including
tending to Klosterheim’s private quarters and garments and cooking his food.
He is a completely trusted confidant and one of the few friends Klosterheim has. Few know
that he is also a psyker whose primary function is to probe into people’s minds. He rarely
leaves his master’s side.

Flocks of the Faithful

High Inquisitor Lord Klosterheim has a legendary reputation.

His cleansing of the Calixus Sector is known across all the Imperium, as more than 30
planets were cleansed of heresy. Therefore, Klosterheim has attracted around him a
following of thousands of believers, fanatics and zealots who accompany and serve him on
board of the Sacrificium. He calls them the Flocks of the Faithful.

Most are simple believers whose lives revolve around prayer and humble service.

Whenever Lord Klosterheim feels like it’s time to remind a planet of what the true meaning of
faith is, he will have Hierophant Confessor Orsane Killechoff deliver impassioned sermons
and organize majestic processions, which the local population are more than encouraged to
join.

Among the flock of followers there are many whose devotion compel them to seek
redemption in battle.

They are crusaders, flagellants, martyrs, a heterogenous horde of holy warriors encouraged
to sacrifice their lives by a number of preachers. They can be a powerful force, but hard to
control or restrain once unleashed. They will kill indiscriminately when directed towards a
planet suspected of harboring heresy. They are commanded by Knight-Crusader Luxborn.
The most frightful and destructive of the Flocks of the Faithful are the Arco-Flagellants and
the Penitent Engine.

The Arco-Flagellants are heretics who were found guilty and sentenced to Arco-Flagellation.
It is a terrible sentence which, through the use of implants and extensive physical surgery,
turns the heretics into mindless berserkers who will then find death at the service of the
Ecclesiarchy.

The Penitent Engine is an even worse form of punishment, reserved only for those heretics
whose sin was enormous, but still seek redemption. They are turned into servitors and
placed atop the Penitent Engine, large, bipedal combat walkers and mighty machines of war.
It is said to be a brief and excruciating existance.
Inquisitorial Stormtroopers

The Inquisitorial Stormtroopers are an elite corps of stormtroopers of the Tempestus Scion
which answer directly to the Inquisition.

They are recruited directly from the Schola Progenium as well as from certain families with a
history of loyal service to the Inquisition.

Their training is equal to the Stormtroopers of the Astra Militarum, furthermore they undergo
rigorous purity and incorruptibility tests prior to their induction.

They are used for surgical assaults and special operations. The detachment of Inquisitorial
Stormtroopers on board the Sacrificium numbers 80 soldiers and is commanded by Colonel
Hector Nenz.
Rest of the Retinue

It is structured thus and divided between different branches:

- Adeptus Mechanicus Cabal

- Adeptus Administratum
- Adeptus Ministorum
- Inquisitorial Stormtroopers
- Inquisitorial Navy
- Inquisitorial Stewards
- Servitors

The Sacrificium has a large number of Servitors on board. They fulfill varied purposes.
