FA 4: WRITTEN DIALOGUE

Maysie: I bet there will be a heavy traffic later.

Apple: For sure. Since it’s Friday.

Maysie: It’s crazy how fast our world change because of technological advancements. Those
different vehicles change our lives; however, it also causes pollution that can destroy our
environment and even our health.

Apple: Indeed, apparently, one of the main impacts of vehicular contamination is an Earth-wide
temperature boost. Vehicular contamination brings about the outflow of ozone harming
substances into the climate, which brings about the exhaustion of the ozone layer and an
expansion in environmental temperature, prompting an unnatural weather change.

Kyle: I know. Throughout human history, environmental destruction has been a norm for most
people wherein they use and abuse the resources provided by the earth. According to researchers,
environmental destruction started when humans reached the highest peak of technological
advancement, and this advancement gave us opportunities to produce certain industrial
revolutions that changed our world forever.

Maysie: And from what I know, the climate is continuously changing because of deforestation,
mining, and the burning of fossil fuels. Do you know what are the other causes of revolution to
the environment?

Kyle: This revolution also produced child labor and social class issues during the 18th century,
because according to our history, factory owners discovered that women and children might be
paid less compared to men Because it kept the expenses of child labor low, it grew in popularity.
Production is minimal, but earnings are high. As a result, the working class suffered from
destitution, while the middle-class bosses prospered.

Apple: Yes, since the modern unrest, people have removed plentiful measures of carbon dioxide
into the environment. This has set off an unnatural warming that has seen the Earth's temperature
rise significantly throughout a brief timeframe.

Maysie: It’s so unfair. It’s always the upper-class people are the ones who takes advantage to the
lower-class people because they knew that people in poverty have no choice because they have
to survive.

Kyle: And the goal of this industrial revolution is to fasten and innovate our manufacturing
process using certain machineries and materials that cause water and air pollution. These forms
of pollution can demolish the earth and the whole human race within the next few years.

Maysie: And it is sad because the poor people are the ones who going to suffer the most while
the people in fossil fuel companies continues their production and doesn’t do anything but to
contribute to climate change.

Kyle: In fact, studies show that motor vehicles, which were originally mass-produced in the
United States by Henry Ford in the early twentieth century, are the major source of air pollution
in the United States. Auto emissions also contribute to global warming by increasing the number
of greenhouse gases in the atmosphere.

Apple: I know. Vehicle discharges control covers every one of the advancements that are
utilized to decrease the air contamination causing emanations delivered via autos.
Kyle: And when it comes to water pollution, researchers found out that every year, up to 500
million tons of heavy metals, solvents, and toxic sludge find. their way into the world's water
supply and, 70% of industrial waste is just dumped into rivers and lakes without being cleaned.
The country of China is one of the best ways to explain this topic, because industrial waste has
poisoned 70% of China's lakes and rivers, forcing 300 million people to rely on contaminated
water supplies. and in addition, more than half of the population of the United States relies on
groundwater for drinking.

Apple: water pollution also causes typhoid, cholera, hepatitis, and different sicknesses.
Obliteration of Ecosystems: Ecosystems are incredibly unique and react to try and little changes
in the climate. Water contamination can make a whole biological system breakdown whenever
left unchecked.

Kyle: In my own opinion, since we’re currently in the 21st century, we should prioritize climate
justice that contradicts the different aspects of environmental destruction, Because, as we all
know, experts and researchers in previous centuries failed to address this concept in the context
of society. As an individual, we should realize that we’re all responsible for what is happening
throughout our surroundings, specifically our environment that’s why we should take good care
of our environment that supplies our needs as a human being.
