In this chapter we as educators need to see the need that art has in the classroom that can help

bring things closer to each other and see new meanings. Art can be used in all of the subjects to

help students understand in new ways that may be better for some students than traditional

methods. Teachers can use art to teach a lesson that can use artful images to represent the cruelty

of slavery to help show the students how horrible it truly was.
