To the family of AnnaHeyla Welsh:

It has been a pleasure to work with Anna after school for the past month or so! I

have enjoyed getting to know her during our phonics tutoring sessions. Anna engaged

well in the lessons I prepared throughout our time together, and displayed a positive

work ethic as well as an enthusiasm for ready and learning. It is my hope this

enthusiasm only continues to grow!

Anna has demonstrated a growth in understanding of reading skills, particularly

in the areas of letter-sound associations & correspondences, vocabulary, and

comprehension. During our initial assessment in February, Anna’s scores placed her in

the intensive support needed category on the DIBELs assessment tool used to measure

her phonics abilities. Her post assessment this April placed her at benchmark with her

kindergarten peers. I feel that Anna has benefited from our tutoring sessions, and I

know that I have certainly learned as an educator due to this experience. Thank you

again for allowing me the opportunity to work with AnnaHeyla!
