Abstract
Due to Some environmental issues fuel reaches a high price. Waste heat
recovery becomes a central issue for every industry and commercial user due to
the recovery of waste heat. This paper deals with the development of heat
transfer in heat pipe and its thermal resistance network and optimization of heat
pipe heat exchanger. It is a review paper that describes the use of metallic
nanoparticles (cu,al,zn) and nanofluids to enhance or increase the heat capacity,
thermal conductivity, heat transfer rate and heat transfer coefficient for the heat
pipe heat exchanger (HPHE). The thermal performance of various-shaped heat
pipes also reviewed. Some influences of various factors are studied such as the
effect and type of nanoparticle or nanofluid, effect on the improvement of
thermal efficiency and reduction in thermal resistance. All the theoretical
aspects and the analysis of thermal characteristics have also been reviewed.
Keywords – heat pipe heat exchanger (HPHE), nanoparticles, nanofluids, heat
transfer coefficient, thermal resistance, thermal performance.
