Abstract
Due to Some environmental issues fuel reaches a high price. For every industry and
commercial user very difficult to recover waste heat because for that reason waste heat
recovery has become a central issue The aim of the study deals with devote elopement of heat
transfer in heat pipes and its thermal resistance network and optimization of heat pipe heat
exchanger. This paper is a review paper consisting of the use of metallic nanoparticles (cu, al,
Zn) and nanofluids to Enhance or increase the heat carry capacity, thermal conductivity, heat
transfer rate, and heat transfer coefficient for the heat pipe heat exchanger (PHE). thermal
performance of various-shaped heat pipes was also reviewed. some influences of various
factors are studied. Like effect and type of nanoparticle or nanofluid and effect on the
improvement of thermal efficiency and reduction in thermal resistance. All the theoretical
and the analysis of thermal characteristics have been reviewed.
Keywords – heat pipe heat exchanger (PHE), nanoparticles, nanofluids, heat transfer
coefficient, thermal resistance, Thermal performance.
