1. Mr. Chicaron intends to determine the break time snack preferences of the students in
SaloSalo University with 20,000 population. He wants to survey a least costly but
appropriate sample size. Furthermore, he wants to be sure that the low income group,
middle income and high income group are given equal representations in the sample. The
distribution of the groups are : Prop of Low Income Group – 9,821; Prop of Middle Income
Group -6,424; Prop of High Income Group- 3,755 . Assuming a level of error of 0.10,
determine the : total sample size ; sample size of the low, middle and high income groups.
