Part One:
You will record yourself reciting the poem of your choice. This recording will
be marked according to the rubric. In your recording you will include yourself
reciting the poem to a song of your choice. When selecting the song ensure
that it fits with the poem you are analyzing.
Part Two:
You will then submit a one page analysis of the poem you chose. You will use
the poetry graphic organizer to conduct your analysis and then use your
brainstorming to write an analysis of your evaluation of the poem.
Requirements:
1. Recording of you reciting your poem you chose to music.
2. A one page analysis of the poem of your choice meeting all the criteria
of stage four of poetry analysis:
● Paragraph One: An overall verdict on the effectiveness,
relevance and overall value of the poem.
● Paragraph Two: A connection to your lived experience.
● Paragraph Three: An analysis of the poem based on personal
criteria and what makes good poetry.
