How to Install and Use Mapúa VPN Application/Remote Desktop

For Students (Internet requirements 3mbps to 5mbps)

Windows (32 bit or 64 bit)

1. Open the preferred browser, then visit https://remote.mapua.edu.ph:8443.

2. From the webpage, click the hyperlink indicated depending on the operating system of the

computer. This will download the installer.

3. Open the installer, then tick the checkbox ‘Yes, I have read and accept the terms and
conditions.’
then click ‘Next’.
4. Choose ‘VPN Only

5. Click ‘Next’.
6. Click ‘Install

7. Wait until the installation finishes, then click ‘Finish’. FortiClient Setup will ask the student to
reboot
his/her PC. Click ‘Reboot
8. After reboot, from the Start Menu, search for ‘FortiClient’. Then click ‘Configure VPN’.
9. Click FortiClient

10. Fill-out the necessary fields as shown. Then Click ‘Apply’. After filling-out the fields, close the
FortiClient application and then launch it again.

11. Log in using your domain account (Use the format ECE163L-E02-01 do not use your email
address). Complete Name of the Cisco Class with section shall be a part of the username .

12. Then click ‘Connect’. (Password: M@pua123)

13. After logging in, the student can see that he/she is already connected to the VPN network.
14. Search Remote Desktop (Then Click)

15. Type the computer name as shown

No need to change Options just type the computer name

If the student is assigned at N208


Type: N208-SC-01
(N208-SC-Terminal number)

If the student is assigned at N107


Type: N107-SC-10
(N107-SC-Terminal number)
Click connect
Press enter
