Failure is nothing to be ashamed of, for there is no man who has not failed, not once but
many times. From the little child who tries to stand up to the would-be-conqueror who
tries to annex some new territory, everyone fails. It has been well said that he who never
made a mistake never made anything. What is important is the way we take our failure. If
we get dispirited by failure and stop trying again, we can never make progress. But if
without despair or defeatism we try to learn the lessons of our failure. We shall be able to
fight better next time and achieve victory in the long run, if not immediately. We must be
resolute, confident and optimistic then the lessons of failure can be stepping stones in our
march to victory.
