participated in. Select a body of water that you think best characterizes your experience and
tell why. How does it relate to you?

With the gospel, I reflected that this belief, that the water symbolizes purification of
the soul, and admission into the faith. However, water can also be destructive water drowns
and erodes, wearing away even the densest of stones given enough time. The body of water
that best describes the experience is that the ocean is a double-edged sword as it offered a
plentiful source of food, it often was a deadly endeavor for many marine voyagers.
Frequently mentioned as a symbol of death, the ocean inhabited many dangers from stormy
seas to warring enemies. Water has an inherent duality in relation to man as a giver and taker
of life. No matter what happens in the ocean either a large of waves and destructive heavy
storms God will always be there to guide us through the storm and protect us no matter what.
