American Sign Language Department, Gallaudet University
• Teach undergraduate students ASL in Academic Settings with awareness of historical,
linguistic, and cultural aspects of ASL with revamp of teaching academic materials for
and provide ASL assessments to students’ academic works.
• Teach undergraduate students with no or minimal sign language skills in American Sign
Language levels 1 through 4 of TRUE+WAY ASL and Signing Naturally and Deaf culture
and community of multiple resources.
• Supervise and mentor ASL undergraduate and graduate students in ASL teaching
internships.

culture of the American deaf community, characteristics of deaf education.
• Guide ASL activities, pair dialogue, group practice, presentations, and video
assignments for the ability to comprehend and express in basic ASL in person and
through digital technologies.
• Mentor and guide teaching assistants to support students in and out of classrooms and
participate in full-class and small group discussions as well as being ASL role models.

American Sign Language Instructor 2019 – 2021


Student Success, Gallaudet University
• Taught four levels of American Sign Language during a four-week pre-orientation
program, Jump Start for deaf and hard of hearing first-year and transfer students.
• Worked in partnership with ASL instructors and developed the ASL curriculum and
completed syllabus, weekly schedule, and student learning outcomes.
• Educated more than 50 deaf and hard of hearing students in advocating for themselves
with peers and instructions, as well as incorporate knowledge of Deaf culture and
identity.

courses with English instructors in content areas of conversational skills in ASL and
fingerspelling and prepared them for entry-level courses at Gallaudet University’s
English Language Institute.
• Provided individualized instruction/consultation services to any student and maintained
a regular evaluation of student performance, adjusted to the course.
• Developed Student Learning Outcomes (SLOs) for American Sign Language Level 1 and 2
and Developmental English/ASL with ASL instructors to uphold the CEA Standards for
English Language Program.

American Sign Language Instructor 2009 – 2011

• Taught 18-22 students in American Sign Language Level 1, 3, 4 of Signing Naturally
curriculum and Deaf culture.

bilingual of Gallaudet University community.

ASL Actress 2014


The Office of Communications & Public Relations, Gallaudet University, Washington, DC
• Narrated and guided the virtual campus tour of Gallaudet University in American Sign
Language on Gallaudet University’s website and as a mobile app for smartphones and
iPads.
• Worked with ASL interpreter and actors on the script translations from English to
American Sign Language for the filming project.
