PANAGBENGA FESTIVAL

Panagbenga is an annual flower festival celebrated every February which takes place in Baguio City,
Philippines. The term “Panagbenga” comes from a Kankanaey term meaning “season of blooming”. This
festival reflects the history, traditions, and values of Baguio and the Cordilleras. It lasts over a month-long and
flourishes through community spirit involvement. ". The festival was created as a tribute to the city's flowers
and as a way to rise up from the devastation of the 1990 Luzon earthquake.

FLORES DE MAYO AND SANTACRUZAN

The festival is a Catholic event held in the Philippines for the whole month of May in honor of the Virgin Mary.
It culminates in a religious-historical-cultural procession/parade and pageant called Santacruzan. The origins of
the Flores de Mayo festival came from shared Spanish and Mexican influences. The Filipino pioneers evolved
the Mexican Santa Cruz de Mayo to the Santa Cruzan, as it is now widely known with the Flores de Mayo
devotion, especially amongst Marian devotees. The Santacruzan is that part of the festival that commemorates
the finding of the True Cross of Christ in Jerusalem in 321 AD by St. Helena, the mother of Constantine the
Great.

It is important to follow etiquette principles and guard against impulsive courage in Arnis because it guides the
player as well as his/her opponents to give respect as a fighter and a person who shows sportsmanship, while
also reminding the person to control himself/herself towards his/her opponent and not making any violent force

sentiment, constancy in mood, and a satisfying synthesis of all connected elements.

dahilan na dito ay ang pagpapalawak ng teritoryo, marahil karamihan na sinasakop ng mga maykapangyarihan ang mga
taong mahihirap at walang kapangyarihan sapagkat dito maaari nilang mapabilog ang isipan ng mga tao sa pamamagitan
ng kanilang mga salita . Pangalawa ay ang pagkuha ng likas na yaman, dahil gusto nilang sakupin ang mga bansa
sapagkat maraming nakatagong likas na yaman na maaari nilang kunin, dahil na rin sa kawalang alam ng mga nasasakop
na may nakatagong mga likas na yaman sa kanilang bansa . Pati an rin ang pagpapalawak ng relihiyong kristiyanismo at
pakikipagkalakalan, isa ito sa mga dahilan para marami silang makuha na magagandang mga kalakal at para na rin
maniwala sila sa totoong Diyos . Sapagkat Mayaman ang Asya at ang Asya ay pinagmumulan ng maraming Bagay na
talagang Kailangan ng mga Kanluranin tulad ng Pampalasa o Spices at mga Likas na Yaman tulad ng Ginto at mga Hilaw
na materyales na nagpapatakbo sa kanilang industriya . Kinakailangan ng mga kanluranin na manakop ng mga lupain sa
asya upang mas mapalawig pa ang kanilang mga lupain at ang mga bansang mananakop ay may mga misyon at isa na
doon ay ang pag papakilala ng kristyanismo sa mga lugar na kanilang sinasakop . Bunsod ng pangangailangan sa hilaw na
mga sangkap pagsunod sa sistemang kapitalismo at paniniwalang karapatan at tungkulin ng mga kanluranin na
magpalawak ng teritoryo at ipalaganap ang kanilang kabihasnang naganap ang ikalawang yugto ng pananakop.
